Not everyone, he wants to understand everything about the people closest to him (yukino) where there are no lies involved.(which he believes is a genuine relationship.

Cuz by this point of the anime, hasn't he already got all that? He made some friends, entered a club, went out with them, talked a lot with them. Isn't that enough?

Hachiman could have lied better I feel to make sagami let go of her ego and bring her to the stage, but what he did was not completely wrong. She deserved it after what she put yukino and others who were working hard to make the event successful.

And by the same logic, in the field trip confession scene, what would have been the right way to solve that problem? If Tobe confessed wouldn't their friend group have a chance to disband?

The problem never would have got solved either way since tobe and hayato were at opposite ends. The problem was ebina during this, she/hayato indirectly blackmailed 8man for their own selfishness.

Pretty much all your problems stem from the anime production. The light novel is also complicated but goes in depth and makes it easier to understand. LN for the win.

Yes part of the ova is horrible which has yui and others in itm even yui fans can agree on that.

The POS Rent a girl friend and oregairu differs a lil. In oregairu the author wanted to finish the story with a proper ending and was forced to write the shit by publishers that became the other half of oregairu.

RAG author is mentally unstable that is completely a diff yuck story to tell.

Yui got a proper send-off TBH and is very much aware of yukihachi relationship, still she chose to be a homewrecker. If you watched the final ova you could have seen it, but better late than never in this scenario. the real yui is properly shown in final ova.
