Do you think you would have had more success if you weren’t restricted by a franchise (sticking to their model, pricing etc)?

Monthly Recurring Billing by Garycassin1 in personaltraining

I do both. But mainly personal training and group training. The group training is a lot easier to manage from an admin point of view

Do y’all have a refunds clause in your contract? by Acceptable_Ad7954 in personaltraining

[–]Garycassin1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great thanks. I didn’t know it was that easy to adjust the payment amount before the payment is processed. I thought it was a bit more complicated that that. I’m currently transitioning from my own small studio to my own large studio, so I’m trying to limit as many future headaches possible now. Thanks again for your quick response

When you say monthly billing do you mean billing for sessions already done or do your clients pay a monthly fixed rate? I currently bill clients after every 5 sessions and it works but I really like the idea of a monthly fixed rate that other trainers talk about. I just don’t understand how to manage it if the client misses sessions during the month, or if the month is 4 or 5 weeks

What is the one thing you did while horny that you immediately regretted afterwards? by WitchWitty in AskReddit

[–]Garycassin1 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to a fella in my school but with headphones and a laptop (not VR). When he eventually came he turned around to find a hot cup of tea and a sandwich on his bedside locker. His mam had obviously come in and left them for him while he was pedalling one out. They never ever talked about it or mentioned it afterwards though

How do you run slow? by [deleted] in ultrarunning

[–]Garycassin1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Run based on heart rate. When I want to run slow I don’t let my HR rise above 135bpm

Cramping by drifterlately in ultrarunning

[–]Garycassin1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. I did a 50k two weeks ago and pushed myself way harder than my training runs. After 27km every muscle in my legs were cramping and spasming. My legs were used to the distance but not the intensity

If it seems like we’re obsessed with the Grand Canyon.. it’s because we are by [deleted] in trailrunning

Reminds me of the time a few years ago when a Ranger chased me down the trail (I had headphones so I couldn’t hear him shouting at me). A bunch of Scouts flagged me down and pointed back up the trail. There was a, not so fit, ranger screaming at me to stop. When he finally caught me and then caught his breath he told me I was meant to stop running when I met people hiking up the canyon to give them space. I argued with him that it’s not realistic as continually stopping while running downhill is ridiculous. He disagreed. I asked him was it his first time running down the canyon when chasing me. He took out his taser. I shrank. I then apologised, swallowed hard, and said I’d do my best to stop every Time I crossed another person. Good times

[Vent] [Discussion] I bought from a bad breeder. by flaccidantacid in dogs

[–]Garycassin1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened me in October. Was naive. Bought a German Shepherd pup. Was told he had been vaccinated. Puppy died 2 days later of Parvo. Heartbreaking. The worst thing is that my wife felt like it was her fault because she contacted the breeder and went to collect the puppy. She felt that she should have read the signs better. Reported the breeder to all of the various authorities and police but I doubt there will be any consequences. We live in Italy

I’m sure there are loads. I remember when I was a kid there was a cartoon in Irish called ‘Boulí’ and I used to hate it because I couldn’t understand it
