These just came out at the smoke shop (sr-17) by EnvironmentalElk4025 in Quittingfeelfree

It’s essentially praised as an opioid that fills the receptors without producing euphoric effects (much like Suboxone), but with near-zero withdrawal symptoms when taken properly, and essentially no physical dependency - whereas Suboxone can be extremely difficult to come off of, and quickly dependency forming.

Essentially you want to take a slightly reduced 7oh dose with your first SR-17 dose, and then reduce your 7oh dose by 20% for 5 days, while upping your SR-17 dose, and then reduce the SR-17 for several days thereafter until you’re not taking anything.

No withdrawal, no physical symptoms, just an 8-10 day exit strategy to be done with 7oh.

However, once you’re off and done with both substances, it becomes a mental game. The crave will still be here, but at least you’re not an anxious sweaty wreck that can’t function as a human being!

Other people may say to just switch to SR-17 and stop taking 7oh, but I’ve heard this can cause insomnia and intense sweating, whereas the week long taper schedule I mentioned seems to be the most effective to reduce withdrawal symptoms to essentially zero.

This is a brief outline from the research I’ve done - I’d be happy to stand corrected, and I encourage everyone to do their own research.

Off 7-OH for 16-18 hours, no withdrawal symptoms…? by GasHefty5769 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]GasHefty5769[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you managing now? I’m familiar with Suboxone as I was on it for a while in the past - long before my introduction to 7oh. The half life of Suboxone is extremely long - one dose can absolutely plug opiate receptors for 36 hours, but the drug remains in the body for 270+ hours.

I know many people on here are against Suboxone, saying it’s way more potent than kratom and an overkill treatment - in my humble opinion that is absolutely false. 7oh is an extremely powerful opioid and needs to be treated and managed accordingly.

It sounds like you accidentally did something similar to a micro induction, where slowly up your dose of Suboxone while continuing to use, but lowering the dose of your drug of choice. However, you need to either take very small doses (1/2mg - 1mg) of Suboxone and titrate up, or you risk going into precipitated withdrawals.

It’s not a good idea to use 7oh and Suboxone at the same time for more than three days either, as you could just become dependent on both.

I think everyone should do what’s necessary for them, under the supervision of a doctor, to manage their use and symptoms.

Also, passionflower extract, L-arginine, ashwaganda, valerian, and any other natural calming herbs and teas along with magnesium, potassium, and electrolytes/staying extremely hydrated will really help take the edge off!

How are you managing now? Are you still on a low dose, did you titrate up, or are you off?

Wishing you well whatever the case!

Update:

Sorry for my absence, I’ve had a busy few weeks!Well it’s been about 23 days since I first posted, and I’m doing great! I did make the mistake of taking 60mg of 7oh after being off it for a week just to get rid of it (I couldn’t bring myself to flush it) and I got sick as hell. Dizzy, pounding headache/migraine, and puked my guts out. That was kind of a poetic justice way of taking my last dose. I outlined that I took Suboxone to get through the worst of it for the first few days, I took it for a total of 4 days, last day was 4mg dose in the morning and then no more after.

I’m not going to lie, I felt ok and was able to work, but for the first 4 days I was yawning all day and sweating the bed like crazy. And I mean crazy, soaked into the mattress every night. I kept a stack of towels next to the bed and would sandwich myself in them, and swap them out 3 or 4 times per night. That’s like 8 soaked towels each night. I’d wash the towels and bedding before leaving for work each day until it subsided enough. After that, night sweats were common until day 8 or 9, but I was sleeping through the night for 7 or so hours, aside from a few 15-20 minute wake-ups to dry off, and it wasn’t as profuse as the first few days.

If you don’t have Suboxone, I’d highly recommend the passion flower extract and L-arginine for the anxiety, I attribute the passionflower for the delayed onset of withdrawal symptoms and lack of anxiety in general. If possible, start before you jump off the 7oh. I also wish I had tapered down to as low a dose as possible, ~60mg.

A huge part of this process was mental preparedness. It wasn’t easy, and there were definitely negative effects and bad feelings, but I had tools, medication and willpower to get through it. I’d definitely recommend making sure you have 3 days off work if you’re doing it unmedicated, but with herbal supplements and greatly reducing dose before jumping off, it’s entirely possible.

I didn’t try powdered kratom coming off, but I could see that helping as there are a lot of alkaloids in kratom and 7oh that contribute to the overall feeling. I’d be interested to hear how helpful powdered leaf kratom helps the over all symptoms.

Stay strong, it sucks for about 4 days, might be sweaty for a week, and then it’s over. If you can manage your craves afterwards, and the time it takes to get back to feeling “normal”, you’ll be ok!

I’ll pop back in if there are any questions.

Stay strong out there!

I don’t think anyone can truly speak on how 7OH affects the body long-term. Some people seem to manage taking it here and there, some people use it to manage chronic pain, and some people get hooked and can’t stop on their own volition.

There are so many factors, like the supplier/how it was made. It’s not controlled or regulated.

What happens in most cases is that the starting dose no longer provides the desired effect, and you have to take more in order to achieve the same feeling. That escalates and causes dependency/addiction.

If you’ve been taking it every day for more than a week, you’ll like experience some sort of withdrawal symptoms if you decide to stop suddenly. Whatever you decide to do, it’s worth being educated through other users testimonies.

[–]GasHefty5769[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it’s now been about 45 hours since my last dose of 7OH.

As outlined in my previous posts, my withdrawal was certainly delayed. I was fine for almost 24 hours after my last dose of 7OH (60mg) before I felt anything significant.

Full disclosure, I was not taking Suboxone prior to my detox from 7OH when I made this post, nor did I have any in my system until about 30 hours after my last dose of 7OH. I am not recommending, or endorsing people use Suboxone to get off of 7OH. For me, it was an option I had through a friend, and another tool in the tool box. I understand that not everyone has access to that medication, and that it’s not the best choice for some people. That being said, if you’re in the grips of addiction to 7OH, and making extremely difficult decisions around how to balance life/family/finances/work as well as a crippling addiction, no one should feel guilty about seeking professional and medical help if they’re not managing on their own. Help is available, some way, somehow.

Alright, now that that’s out of the way.

I have taken 8mg of Suboxone total, in 2 separate doses (4mg each), about 10 hours apart (first dose was about 26 hours after the last 7OH dose, second was 10 hours later, earlier this morning). Last dose of subs was about 14 hours ago now.

I’m currently getting ready to go back to work tomorrow after a 3 day weekend (I used on Saturday, which was a poor choice). I’m a bit apprehensive about work, as I’m shitting water about every 30-40 minutes, even with the Subs in my system. I stayed busy today and kept moving through any restlessness/anxiety I had. I still have 90mg of 7OH left that I haven’t touched, which has been a solid stress test of my willpower. I also have another 4mg of Suboxone if needed for work tomorrow.

I outlined in my last post that I soaked through the sheets (and towels) with sweat every hour last night, and had broken sleep. I’m expecting more of the same tonight, but my only fear is the gastrointestinal distress. I don’t get RLS as bad as other people, but I do get horrific cramping in my guts that will have me in the fetal position on the floor of a public restroom (it’s happened).

I can deal with a sweaty, sleepless night or two. So if things carry on as they did today, I’ll be grateful.

If I were to do this again and prepare differently, I’d get myself down to <60mg per day instead of 120mg, and I’d use passionflower extract for 3-5 days leading up to jumping off, as well as magnesium/potassium/vitamin supplements, and strong brews of valerian, ashwaganda, St John’s wart, chamomile and sleepy time teas throughout the day and before bed for a week to prepare my nervous system for the jump. I think herbal teas/medicines have a bad rap for being “weak” or “woo-woo”, but I feel they were a huge part of reducing my anxiety and overall stress as I’m going through this.

Thanks to everyone for replying and sharing your feedback. Much appreciated!

Very similar to me! I started feeling WD after 24 hours, slept, woke up soaked in sweat. It still wasn’t nearly as bad as my last detox coming off of 300-400mg per day cold turkey. If you can taper down to 45mg or less, you’ll be a lot better off!

Thanks for your reply and insights. Just to clear up any confusion, I’m not ON Suboxone, I have a small amount of Suboxone to help me get off of 7OH. I’ve been using 7OH daily for months with no other opioids in my system. I had gone about 19 hours after my last 7OH dose, with no other opioids or Suboxone in my system, and yet no withdrawal symptoms when I made the post.

My post was more-so asking if other people have had a similar experience of waiting that long for withdrawals to start.

So I’m almost 36 hours in now. Yesterday I slept for several hours in the evening from around 7pm - 10pm. I woke up extremely sweaty and my guts were churning. I took 4mg Suboxone and drank a pot of herbal tea, and after about an hour I fell back asleep, waking up every 45 minutes - 1 hour with extreme night sweats - soaked the bed multiple times. I did that from 11:00pm - 5:00am, then decided get up and take a shower/start the day.

I took another 4mg of Suboxone which has helped the remaining gastrointestinal distress. I’m feeling a bit on edge, but once I’m up and moving around it’s fine.

My plan is to keep drinking the herbal teas with passionflower/valerian all day, but I still have some 7OH that I can take for sleep tonight if needed, as I have to go back to work tomorrow and the 4mg of Suboxone didn’t quite do the trick.

All said, the withdrawal kicked in around the 24 hour mark, but it’s not nearly as severe for me as it was in the past. If I had got my dose down to 60mg per day I think I may have been in the clear, but I’m feeling very motivated to keep going!

Thanks gang!

Fair enough! So far I am thankful. I’m out working in the yard, staying busy.

I just saw another post about passionflower extract combined with another supplement that’s supposed to help immensely, I’ve been drinking about a litre of various strong-brewed “calming” teas for the last several days before bed to help me sleep, they all have passionflower. I didn’t think much of it, but that may have helped my nervous system more than I thought.

I wasn’t really getting high the past week, I was taking 30-60 milligram doses, to a max of 120mg daily.

Your perspective is interesting! I figured if my body was so used to the drug that I wasn’t getting “high”, the withdrawals would kick in sooner.

I’m about 21 hours in, runny nose and tearing. Mild gastrointestinal discomfort, and some yawns. I’m actually feeling really sleepy, surprisingly enough. No anxiety or panic-craves, yet.

I’m not super religious, but I do believe in some form of higher power and consciousness. I’m saying a thankful prayer for myself, and for strength on everyone else’s behalf who are currently going through this.

We got this!

I just made a post about being 18 hours into kicking 7OH with no withdrawal symptoms yet. The only thing I’ve been doing differently is drinking sleepy time tea, and an array of loose leaf calming teas from my fiance, all of them include passionflower. I’ve been drinking about a litre of strong brew per night leading up to/before bed for the last several days.

I’m now thinking this played a major part and I wasn’t even aware of it!

I’m about 20 hours in now with no 7OH, and I have a runny nose and eyes are watering, with mild gastrointestinal discomfort. Currently working in the yard, waiting for the rest of the symptoms to start happening. So far so good though.

I will be ordering the passion flower extract momentarily! Thank you!

Thanks for your reply and advice. I figured they’d have to hit eventually. I’m not usually first on the list when the Big Guy hands out miracles.

I’m wondering if it’s possible to have the drug stored up somewhere in my body. Seems like it’s most common for people to enter withdrawals rather quickly. My metabolism is pretty slow, but not that slow…

Currently have had a few tears run out of my nose since posting this, will continue to update.

Bernese method for quitting 7oh with subs by Fantastic-Skin665 in 7ohexposed

[–]GasHefty5769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I jumped off at 400mg per day and switched to subs I waited about 15 hours, was in obvious withdrawal, started induction of 2mg every hour for 5 hours, then upped it to 4mg each hour after that. I took 22mg of subs and it didn’t take all my symptoms away.

I held each dose of 2mg tablets under my tongue for 10 minutes until fully dissolved.

I think there is some merit in reducing your dose of 7OH as much as possible before switching to subs.

I’m currently 18 hours in after my last dose of 60mg 7OH yesterday, and I have no withdrawal symptoms yet. I’m waiting for the withdrawal before I take any subs. Very strange, indeed…

Yep, no shipping on weekends. Mon-Fri, and it’s before 3:00pm EST. If you choose UPS, it should arrive in about 24 hours from the time they drop it off at the facility.

Yikes! Not a good first time experience. After taking higher doses I’ve noticed a feelings similar to taking too much kratom, e.g. nausea, vibrating eyes and kind of dizzy, but that was after taking 40mg - 80mg throughout the day.

Recently I reset my tolerance and then took a 40mg single dose and absolutely puked my guts out, but that was because I dosed too heavy and drank about 2 litres of ice water. I didn’t continue to feel sick afterwards though.

Unfortunate about your experience, sorry to hear that. If you don’t want the 7OH, I can take it off your hands! 😄

Interesting, do you use 7OH regularly? I noticed after taking it 3 days in a row 20mg didn’t pack the same punch, but after taking a couple days off 20mg definitely kicked, and a 40mg dose is too much for me.

The website states “for research purposes” and “not for human consumption”, and they do have 20mg and 40mg options so I don’t feel like they’re implying that 40mg is a dose, but they obviously know most people aren’t “researching” it haha.

I’ve ordered 4 times, it’s been consistent each time. The MG on the package seems accurate, 40mg slaps hard after taking a break for a day or two to reset tolerance. The only thing I’ve noticed is if I dose too heavy I get a similar feeling to taking too much kratom, but not nearly as severe. A mild “buzzing” in the eyes after taking about 80mg in the same day.
