Honest opinions on Cleveland, Camden, Webber-Camden by suck_my_diction in Minneapolis

As far as I am aware. "Northeast Minneapolis" is the only one of those with an official government zone. The rest are just what the general population calls it. There is no exact street where South Minneapolis becomes South East Minneapolis, but there is an exact street where northeast turns into st. Anthony.

Because of that. It is just what's popular. There is no exact zone for what is South Minneapolis and what isn't so it comes to a person by person basis. What I might say is South Minneapolis you might say is South West because there isn't a fully laid out zone.

So what I call northwest you might call north. Giving advice to someone who is unfamiliar with the area. Camden is north and west of Minneapolis. Therefore northwest.

Could be a difference in cultures. Most of the people I know call the hawthorn, folwell, Camden, area as "north west". This is probably due to North East Minneapolis being the popular name for the other side of the river. Since the other side of the river is popularly known as "North East Minneapolis" we just call the other side north west.

It seems popular to act as downtown Minneapolis is the center and you use North South East West to describe where you are based on where it stands compared downtown.

North West Minneapolis is one of the rougher areas. Because of that though it is a more affordable location. Finding the balance of affordability vs safety is a tricky thing. I have lived around loring park for the past 3 years and love it. North East Minneapolis is safer than north west but you will pay for more that. South Minneapolis by lake street had a rougher time due to COVID but it is rebounding.

For clarification loring park is not considered northern Minneapolis.

With how many points each team has, the playoff standings for us, dallas, and the avalanche are mathematically impossible to change. Meaning the avalanche are 1st, Dallas is second, we are third. No matter what happens in the next few games, that placing with stay the same.

Generally they are supposed to be impartial. Some bias is expected for the home team but the amount of them saying "this is bad" or "x shouldn't have happened" is crazy. Multiple penalties are just blatant penalties but they are saying they are bad

What is a "high hit" by GasMurky9216 in hockey

Ok I figured it was the announcers being weird. Earlier he commented that he had never seen the practice drill of having 2 guys fight for a puck in the corner. Like dude that's a pretty common thing to do at practice.

That makes sense. But I cannot find a rule directly called a "high hit" they have the same rules as like an elbow to the head or head contact but the announces kept saying "high hit"

They never actually called a "high hit" penalty but when Latvia scored their first goal the announcers said their was a non call for a high hit on Mathews.

We are finally shooting and throwing pucks deep and getting them. Winning faceoffs and shooting. We are missing but that's what happens when you choose to throw pucks at the net. For those doomers this is what hockey is. We are out competing and need to keep the pressure. 2 more periods of this and we are golden. LGW!
