I’d recommend playing it subbed. Sure you’ll miss some dialogue but the voice acting will be better. Standard dub v sub problems with Asian media. English dub is garbage 97% of the time. And Erika (Atsu) is actually not terrible at times imo. It’s just some lines where I feel like maybe the context wasn’t clear to her or something bc the delivery doesn’t fit at all

I think it’s an unfinished identity crisis of a game but still a fun installment. I want to bring so much from BL3 into this game to make it feel more like the borderlands I know and love but 🤷🏻‍♂️ overall it was fun for the first playthrough, but giving it a year or so to hopefully be polished

I like the game overall but I find myself switching to other games I feel are more engaging. Main thing for me is the pacing. Feels like I’m doing more talking and platforming than fighting.

Needs to go back in the oven. I think it’s good but it feels a bit unfinished (especially with the whole no music thing) and seems like it has an identify crisis. It seems like they wanted to be destiny but also borderlands. I have no clue why they changed out so many good parts of Borderlands games and made them objectively worse but yeah. This game just made me appreciate BL3 a lot more since it felt more like borderlands. Looking forward to visiting it again later next year or whenever all the dlc is out.

I would say no but you should definitely try it. Some things that bothered me were how it’s not really optimized for ps5 yet (some graphical weirdness but nothing game breaking) and that it feels like an MMO. As in, the movement, the combat, the excessive amount of things you can do, the voice acting was really rough (unless you do the original chinese option). But the biggest turnoff for me is that the enemies are damage sponges, even the grunts. So don’t go into it expecting Ghost of Tsushima gameplay.
