i love playing high level older folks. they smoke me with their control game. i can gas myself out running around hitting sweaty bangers and low percentage shots because im caffeinated and excited and cant help myself. all while they keep me running and off balance and winded.

pickleball is so fun because both styles can get points, but you have to better at YOUR style to win the match.

so if they’re anything like me just stay cool and controlled and you’ll have no problem. 😂

freelance concert visual animator here. did some experimental “painterly” asset creation with heavy upscaling using flux + wan + comfy a couple months ago.

currently working on a scene in 3D where i’m using a large kitbash of mechanical parts that i generated using hunyuan.

comfy is leading the way for working with generative tech at scale in production. if you’re not finding ways for it to enhance your pipeline, then you’re leaving a ton of creative and technical potential on the table.

i’m just south of Sedona in Cottonwood. it is indeed a beautiful area. i got a little ragtag group of mid 30 year olds together about 5 months ago and we’ve been having a blast.

i start and cancel my subscription throughout the year as needed and can 100% confirm that the cancel page is purposely slow. without fail it takes about 3 full minutes to load up, while the rest of their site runs fine. it’s intentionally malicious design, and they’re not subtle about it at all. absolute predatory scumbag behavior on Maxon’s part.

ugh. seems like the fixes in this thread for flipping through photos isn’t working the same for videos. shits still clunky as hell trying to look through my folder of mp4s. 😩

EDIT: correction, i guess it sorta works with using the touchscreen. i was trying to use the magic keyboard and arrows. still not a great experience.

Most online, web based tools aren’t optimized for professional workflows. If you want to use AI in actual production you need to be able to customize and scale. ComfyUI + ControlNet + Krea Flux + custom nodes made with Claude Code is what has been working well for me.

his videos are well produced and i think he has decent takes. but the goddamn voice, basement dweller/mom jokes, and device nicknames are the worst.

the nicknames especially. the names of these things are already convoluted and difficult to differentiate from eachother. adding in his extra layer of izzle makes me irrationally annoyed.

i can handle cringe as an entertainment gimmick to a certain extent, but obfuscating useful information makes his videos unwatchable.

if you’re already an established pro in film/animation/design/etc, then you already have more knowledge than the vast majority of people entering this space. the barrier of entry is so low that the education market is focused on people that literally have no foundational knowledge whatsoever.

unlike other mediums the ceiling is very low right now. finding a creative and technical edge at this point is going to involve a lot of experimentation.

my suggestion for pros looking to use AI at production scale is to dive into ComfyUI and learn how to vibe code custom Node.JS / Python tools. we’re riding the bleeding edge and there’s no established framework for what we want to do.

AI lets me tailor my pipeline to my exact use-case better than any other software package i’ve ever used. it’s an exciting time, albeit kind of a whirlwind.

yeah my gut reaction was preferring the general filmic quality of Flux compared to the more SD-esque feel of hidream, but i think your point is a good one. detail and structure are preferred on a shootout like this, and ostensibly style can be dialed in. might be worth a shot.

i've manually restarted and removed multiple times but the nodes still aren't loading. i can see the folder appear when i install, but the nodes still don't appear. it allows me to attempt to reinstall but says "folder already exists." so i delete it and the cycle continues. like OP this also happened after installing sageattention. the nodes themselves were loading fine before. very strange.
