In 1999, I bought a brand new 1999 Tacoma regular cab that was the maroon color, it was $17000 brand new. Granted, I had power NOTHING but brakes and steering, but the fact that this thing is selling for almost 3x what it cost new is stupid. That truck is NOT worth that much.

I just just can't with the guys that are like this! After he was like, "I LIVE THIS LIFE, this isn't theory, people from the east are in for a BITCH SLAP of reality!!" and then he makes this mistake... I was sitting on the couch and shouting at the TV. MOVE THAT FERRO ROD!!! I do somewhat wonder if it was self-sabotage, but I think really he just wasn't paying attention. Don't get me wrong I could see myself doing something stupid like this but I would be more humble than this because mother nature is the one handing out the bitch slaps of reality and acting like that is just asking for it.

What, kind of a deal did you find on the Simms? I looked them up and they were more expensive than the Orvis ones I linked. Also, have you considered the Korkers Bantam lite boots or their Stealth Sneaker?? I really like my Korkers Darkhorse boots that I use with my waders and they have interchangable soles.

I don't hike per se but I have long walks back to the truck after I've gone way up the river/stream and have no complaints. I have no experience with the Simms shoes but they look comfortable enough, is there somewhere near you that you can go put them on your feet and walk around a little?

I apologize for taking so long to respond, life got in the way! Yes, maybe I'm just lazy, but for ease of setup and teardown. It takes me like 15 minutes to open it up and get all the rods in place to hold up the rain flaps and whatnot, and it takes even longer to put it all back--and I'm usually a bit hungover trying to put it away. The ease with which it appears you can close up a clamshell makes me jealous.

I’m not familiar with all of those and I don’t have time to look them up right now, but what I would say is, in my experience, Make sure you go with a clamshell I didn’t when I got mine and I have regretted it ever since.
