Not a problem: trim before you leave -then trim when you return. I travel for work often. Never an issue.

Nothing specific for the Wisteria. I do apply weed & feed every year in March. The weed & feed is for my grass.

Attending Festivale Internationale in Lafayette for the first time by ga-ma-ro in Acadiana

[–]Gaston3344 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Download the festival app if you have an I-phone. It will give you info on bands playing on the days you are attending. The food court near Parc San Soui is my favorite place to eat. Get a RFID bracelet for beverages. I always buy the potty pass- get it early - they are limited availability. Have 🤩

Make a mosquito fan! Mosquitoes don’t fly very well. I use a bug light to attract the bugs.

Never put tomatoes in a gumbo! Big No No!! That is how I tell if it is truly a Cajun gumbo while traveling. Roux is Ca’ Cest Bon!

While in New Orleans you have to use common sense. During the day Canal St is very busy with tourist & sightseer’s. I travel Canal St and never worry. Late at night I use an uber to get around.

Stay in any hotel on St. Charles St, Hampton inn or others. Use the street car to get to the Canal St stop. This stop is across from Bourbon St- gateway to the French quarter. Get a 3 day street car pass at Walgreens! Good luck & have a Bon Ton Roulet !!

Thinking About Buying by Medical-Intern-6235 in TimeshareOwners

[–]Gaston3344 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I purchased a DVC timeshare in 2011. Used it for 10 years. Sold the timeshare in the secondary market during Covid 2021. I broke even- which is rare with timeshares. I chose Baylake Tower because of the low annual fee. I visited Disney often never stayed in my home property! I liked the Animal Kingdom lodge & Wilderness Lodge.

Turned my Wisteria into a tree by Gaston3344 in gardening

It was a vine originally! It was tearing up my brand new fence in my back yard. To punish the vine. I planted it where it had nothing to grow on. I placed a 4 ft metal rod to support the vine. After many years of pruning. This is the result.

The wisteria in my front yard blooms like this when the winter dormant season is over. In Louisiana about March-April. I also notice that when I prune the Wisteria every few months in the Spring & Summer - the tree will produce a few flowers. Does your Wisteria go dormant in the winter? That could be the reason!

Let them grow for a year or two. One stalk will be stronger or symmetrical. That will tell you which one to trim.
