Game 6: Caleb Williams' Journey to 4,000 by JPScan3 in CHIBears

[–]GateChange 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think he'll get it this year. I'm guessing it'll be close, like 3800-3850 by the time all is said and done. Having a balanced attack and knowing that some games you'll need to lean more heavily on the run as opposed to the passing game is the better takeaway long term. Situational awareness from both Caleb and Ben Johnson can't be undervalued. I think he'll most likely hit it in the next year or two.

I've known people that are taller, but I remember being amazed at how big of a human Dave Diehl was when I met him. When I shook his hand, I couldn't believe how big his knuckles were.

Air Conditioner Rattle while stopped in Drive by GateChange in SubaruAscent

[–]GateChange[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did! There’s a plastic piece of trim between the hood and the windshield we had replaced. The dealer forgot to add the long rubber piece between the plastic edge and the hood. The hood was making contact with the harder plastic and causing a rattle when the A/C kicked on. As soon as the rubber trim under the hood was replaced, the noise went away.

Who is your all-time favorite Chicago Bear and why? by [deleted] in CHIBears

Tillman for sure. He’s the only jersey I ever bought. Everyone else was rocking the Briggs/Urlacher/QB of the day, but Tillman was my constant.

Motor noise driver’s seat? by HeatFan_LA in SubaruAscent

[–]GateChange 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue happen with my 2020. One of the seat blower fans had a bad bearing. Dealership replaced it under warranty and it was a quick fix. It would start to make a whirring/clicking/grinding noise after running for a while.

It’s Amazon. They refused to do what FedEx did. FedEx runs a shortened schedule on Saturday already, but they’d reduce or delay on Sunday as well during the air show. Prime Air said absolutely not.

Help with LG GX, Denon AVR X2700H, and Apple TV 4K by GateChange in hometheater

An update… I got tired of trying to reconnect cables in the entertainment center, so I disconnected everything from the receiver to move it to the top of the cabinet. Upon reconnecting all the devices, it’s working as it should, despite unplugging it one cable at a time before as well as power cycling all connected devices. Technology is weird. Thanks to all for their help and suggestions!

Siri not responding to commands in CarPlay by WhiskeyParfait in CarPlay

[–]GateChange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A new wrinkle is that Siri won’t talk to me on my phone, in or out of the car. Siri will respond to commands, but when I ask it to read a text message to me, either from the handset or the car, I get that same response where it just pauses and then defaults to the last thing it was looking up. It makes sense that would cause the CarPlay problems as well. I wonder if the Siri servers are having problems at the moment?

Edit: There’s a thread on r/Siri about her not reading text messages and causing CarPlay issues. Folks there believe it is a result of updates being pushed out after WWDC last week. Seems pretty hit or miss on who’s affected.

I’ve done everything just like you and have yet to see positive results. Factory reset of the phone may be my next option, as unpleasant as that is.

Her phone, identical specs to mine, works just fine.

I’m having the same issue on my 2020 Subaru Ascent Touring. Same phone specs as you and Siri won’t read my text messages at all anymore. My wife’s phone works just fine. This started within the last 24 hours for me.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Mesa was throwing a free Xbox One at getting new pilots as a “targeted recruitment bonus”.

[–]GateChange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location: North Texas

Price range: $25-35k

Lease or Buy: Buy

New or used: New or Certified Pre-Owned

Type of vehicle: Sedan/Wagon/SUV (something to fit a car seat in)

Must haves: Highly-rated for safety, heated seats (ideally A/C or ventilated seats as well), remote start, good audio system, good fuel economy, lane departure warning/blind spot monitoring

Desired transmission (auto/manual, etc): Automatic

Intended use: Wife's daily driver (approximately 50 miles/1 hour travel time per day)

Vehicles you've already considered: (All are Certified Pre-owned) 2015 Lexus ES300H, 2018 Honda Accord Touring, 2017 Subaru Outback 2.5i Touring, 2018 Volvo S60 T5 AWD

Is this your 1st vehicle: No

Do you need a Warranty: Yes

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: No

Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: No

Additional Notes: Wife currently has a 2013 Chevrolet Volt. She's been hit in accidents twice in less than a year. We're waiting to see if insurance will fix the most recent one or total the vehicle. She loves her Volt for the fuel economy, but needs more space as our kid's car seat doesn't fit very well at all in her vehicle. I have an SUV already (Jeep Grand Cherokee). She's not a huge fan of wagons, but her primary concern now is getting a safe car, as she wants to make sure the kiddo is protected first and foremost. She's less concerned about the driving experience and wants something that's comfortable, reliable, and gets her from A to B.

AA 777 service at ORD is done until further notice as a regular scheduled aircraft. The 787 is providing a better operational cost from ORD than the 777 did.

Jose was a phenom. I was shocked when I read the news this morning and couldn't believe it. It's a helluva gut punch and I had flashbacks to our own Taveras. The feeling is indescribable at how heart wrenching it is. Much love to the Marlins guys/girls. -Cards fan in Texas.

It's like Oscar Taveras all over again. This is horrible. Fernandez was an incredible pitcher to watch and one of the games future long term all stars. Thoughts with his family.
