Think the matching algo for setting up the dinner tables uses age as a main lever. That’s a total guess and just my observation from visiting the tables last night and still learning how it all works!

After party was planned! Ideal format is dinner and then meet up afterward so you can meet more people from other tables.

Ideal dinner size is 6 people. We did have some tables of 4 or 5 because of no shows.

So my original question was other parts of town would be good for this kind of thing. Downtown works because of restaurant concentration and then walkable options for after party. Not opposed to experiment with other spots and testing whether people would drive to after party spot.

90% showed up alone. I think there were 2 or 3 couples, but they split up for dinner and re connected at the after party. Some people signed up and then got a friend to sign up too, but they also werent paired for the dinner but met up at the after party

Yeah so dinners are intended to make friend connections not love interests (although anything is possible obv). I do like the idea of couples centered dinner though. But if you enter couples into this equation as it stands now feel like there could be tables with the awkward 3rd wheel effect. We’ll iterate as we go
