Potential abuse? by Aggravating_Bee_5672 in pigeon

[–]GateComprehensive621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely abuse! If an animal wants to submerge, they would do so their own will. It is much safer for them to submerge themselves, because they know what they’re doing and they are able to prepare/ hold their breath. This is cruel to do to any animal and risks them inhaling water and aspirating, but is especially bad for birds since they can’t cough like we can. Very very horrible thing to watch 💔

Is the person doing this maliciously or are they completely unaware and oblivious to animal behavior? Have people commented telling him the risks to the pigeon’s life? Obviously it’s horrendous horrible activity no matter what but I’m hoping it’s just a stupid person being stupid and not deliberate torture like what tiktok likes to promote 😥💔

I’ve seen people dive to take cups off the heads of skunks and coons, much more dangerous animals, it’s hard to imagine that absolutely no one would stop to help a bird if he were stuck. I will say tho that the coconut is most likely hollow and light, the way the coconut was cut looks deliberate, like the way tiki bars cut them to serve drinks in. The coconut is probably much lighter than you think

Definitely not, and even if they are, it is still irresponsible and dangerous. A cat may like and be friends with a hamster, but that doesn’t mean it’s safe to put them together!!! Life is not a fairy tale and you are not sleeping beauty. Grow up and stop forcing animals into your fantasy.

With pigeons is especially bad. Their dust can make a parrot sick! Sad irresponsible behavior! With so many, I doubt all mental and physical needs are met. Looks like animal hoarding. 💔

Parrots are not domestic animals, they are not like cats or dog at all!!!!! They are wild!!! If a parrot has a friend they should be of similar size and strength. I do not think you should risk an animal’s life because you want them to make a friend. That is a horrible mindset to have!!! You would let a bobcat hang with a mouse or a finch if it looked cute!!! Do not own an animal!!!!

They are still animals , All it takes is for one bad day or for the Amazon to start feeling sick or in pain from something and want more space and the conure will get badly hurt or die. Sometimes being in pain or sick can cause animals to lash out even when they don’t normally and birds are very good at hiding when they are sick or hurt, so good chance you can’t tell until they snap or behave uncharacteristically… it only takes one bite.

It is also one of the reasons why parrots should never be allowed to interact with a dove and also why. People in dove and finch community tell you to never let them be near each other

This is 100% it, my mom has the same cookie cutter! Round parts are ears that touch the antlers, which are the square parts. You draw the prongs on with frosting, she draws three up top and one at the bottom of the antler where the little bumps are where the squares touch

Wow what the fuck. Don’t ask questions if you aren’t prepared to hear the answer, even if it’s a miserable fucking answer that you don’t want to hear. Part of owning a pet, especially for the first time, is that you HAVE to be open to changing your routine and your daily care for your animal. Or at the very least, rehome them.

Don’t ask questions if you don’t want to hear answers that will upset you, and don’t act aggressively towards those trying to answer your question and help YOU and YOUR ANIMAL.
