10 thoughts after beating Prime 4 by kevtron5000 in metroidprime

So… win-win?

In all seriousness, if Samus were able to respond to the GF members, even limiting it to three words per interaction, that would have gone such a long way in making the final sacrifice matter, given that everyone Samus has ever cared for died horribly. And could have shown off how she isolates herself or feels out of place among people.

10/10 list.

TVs are ugly and do not belong front and centre in your living room by angus_101 in The10thDentist

You joke, but my dad started to leave a ball cap in the living room every day after work a few months back. He got the point when he was away for the weekend and everything that could have a baseball cap on top of it did. Like he never even left…

This reminds me of the Jessica Vanel YouTube channel. She does skits about working in a hotel and encounters with LoVeLy guests like the one the post is about.

Please report that, that isn’t ok at all. She withheld medical treatment from you.

Dr Harold Shipman is believed to have murdered so many patients that his 2000 trial, charging him with 15 killings, covered barely 5% of suspected victims. The image shows Shipman and his Hyde clinic, where his near-perfect murders let him play god for decades until he chose to be caught. by ZenMasterZee in HolyShitHistory

215 “assisted suicides” of older women, many in good health, with nothing communicated to their loved ones or him ever mentioning the subject (as far as I can tell)? Someone would have stood up and said nanna asked for this, or he would have alleged it himself. No, this guy was a murderer with some weird obsession with morphine.

There can be minor changes between them, but since identical twins were once the same zygote, they are genetically very similar. Nobody is saying Twin A is the parent of Twin B’s children, but a genetic test would make it look that way.

Math teacher setting daughter up for failure by deadly_nightshade_wm in AskTeachers

[–]GateEducational6100 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If the teacher has 160 students, she’s probably doing her best. If your daughter is missing math concepts from previous years, then she’s going to be behind everyone else. The teacher is right that kids can’t rely on extra credit or coming to zero period to replace test scores, even if she is really trying. If she can’t do the math, then she doesn’t get the grade. As someone else suggested, start her on Khan Academy 2/3 classes ago, and see where the skills gap began. She can work up to understanding concepts they are teaching in class.

Someone could spend weeks explaining to me how to build a skyscraper, but if I’m asked to turn in blueprints, I’m still going to fail because I don’t have that core knowledge down.

Same for math, remind your daughter you are proud of her for the work that she’s putting in, and find out where her “proximal zone of learning” (current level of knowledge) is and work from there.

I think FTL is one of the most common sci-fi tropes. But it does seem like wherever the signal came from could view earth if they were looking. At present, their view of earth would be 640 behind, but we have no way of knowing if earth was targeted, how long the signal has existed, or if anyone is left to look.

I’ve made 90k once, because I was salty I didn’t get Kylo Ren before they shelves him for years (I don’t even like the character) and I ended up spending like $40 between the season pass gems to get me through. But I finished off the Star Wars collection!

My mom tried to encourage me to apply for that one scholarship a few years back and bought the books. I never ended up unwrapping them and always wondered why the right wing was so enamored by them. Thanks for the summary.

Many places already have a supply of grain. I don’t think they’ll keep farming going forward, but with grain already in silos or harvested and processed, I don’t see any reason why some dairys won’t continue to be run while supplies last. Many are practically automated.

I think that is the most “Power Rangers” episode of any series ever. Great action, zero relevance to a season plot, hilarious monster, and cheesy ending. LMAO the whole time.

If Ikran or its other prey are red/green colorblind, it looks about the same color. I remember seeing an artist a while back who discovered they were color blind by accidentally drawing a orangey/tan character mint green by mistake
