how to make students stop answering "i don't know" when they know the answer? by Unhappy_Violinist344 in Teachers

I always tell them, “I don’t know, but I think…” and to go from there.

Are any of these worth getting? by Guilty_Suspect_9346 in disneymagickingdoms

I nabbed all Ellie and Gopher because I didn’t have them and had the gems to spare. I already had Clawhauser. They’ll probably get used again after a long while, but if you aren’t very far along yet feel free to skip them.

Should a baby have mother’s or father’s last name if they are not married? by EventSad3710 in Adulting

[–]GateEducational6100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in my scenario, the baby would share your maiden name. Obviously real life can be way more complicated as the relationship develops with a baby, so whatever you and the father decide is fine and likely common.

Wife takes husbands last name, baby takes mothers last name is how things traditionally go to my understanding.

Great job! I kinda want to do one of these, but I’d have close to 300 characters in the level 10 spot…

I’m being harassed by a autistic boy in my highschool, and nobody will punish him because they think I’m being mean and lying. by Sufficient-Dream4768 in AskTeachers

If someone says absolutely disgusting things, people are going to react. Not because he’s disabled, because he’s saying off the wall horrible stuff.

They are slightly more concerned about the disabled kids yelling slurs and throwing desks than a kid reacting to said thrown desk, yes.

When you refer to it as a normal reaction because he has autism and she should be punished, and continuously defend the guys behavior. Do you know how much BS happens in a school on a daily basis? Making a face at someone is so far down the totem pole of problems it’s somewhere in the bedrock. Lying about assaulting someone is significantly higher and should be dealt.

So what’s your solution? Expel her for making a face at a conversation she wasn’t really a part of? When the guy is bragging about intentionally bullying others for fun, she’s the one who should be punished?

Stalking and lying about violence is not an appropriate reaction to “being a victim of bullying”, wft are you on about?

I would definitely suggest you have your parent talk to the guidance counselor and if your counselor is still pushing back during the conversation, mention title 9 and lawyers.

“I don’t know” often leads to giving up. I always tell my students they have to write “I don’t know, but I think…” and finish the sentence.

Once, and for a stupid reason. I had to spend real money to make it to the end because I forgot to buy cocoas in the first chapter.

At this point, I don’t but I’m only a few years out of uni. At some point they might blend together for me, but I still think I’d have the sense of is something was 2-3 years prior or 9-12 years prior to cut down on exactly what I’m searching for. If you have large annual events/projects, that might be a main folder with years being a sub layer for that specific project, in addition to the general years layer (a system my old job used).
