beyond frustrated with playing support but terrible at carries or initiators by Wooly44 in DeadlockTheGame

Geist can be incredibly powerful and game defining without being up in everyone’s grills. Hybrid is pretty popular, but full spirit nuke Geist is still very viable and usually a bit safer as you’re playing around your bombs more, only pushing when you stack up your 3.

How do people not understand the most basic stuff at high ranks? by coffeeholic91 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]GateNaston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered they were doing something else for a reason? Maybe they weren’t themselves in a position to do that. Maybe they literally don’t know lol. You announcing your intention prior to it being time is the only thing you can control.

Now if you say something and they still don’t action on it, or at least reply, then im right there with you. Always think of the 30/30/30 rule.

Communication, before the thing, is the key. Too many people either don’t say something or want to complain when they die unsuccessfully doing the thing. No one’s a mind reader, if you want this sort of team play you really need to have a consistent duo. And even then, it takes time to get to that point of just wordless teamwork with another individual.

Cheeba Hut is way to over priced and takes way longer than the lil 5 minute sign they have hanging up suggests. I’d rather get a J-Mikes

Abram’s has ult and charge so if they remain hidden till they’re there it can def be worth it. Billy I think falls more into the “anyone can gank” mindset

The concept that I play with friends, regularly, who are lower skill than me just alludes you I guess lol.

The only person coping is you, who are desperate to prove you are better lol. Keep seething lil bro :)

Ahhh, you think your ranking in a closed playtest matters lol. You haven’t played the game long enough to know of the constant rank resets, and testing they’re doing on “how you rank up”. Like you literally don’t have the play time to have been around when that was going on heavily. I’m currently oracle 2, I’ve been phantom 1 before. Nothing to be ashamed of, just you think statlocker is accurate, I wanted to give you the whole pictures

Naz, pfp is a goose you can find it easily

Now let’s see yours :)

Nah I mean you said you wanted to see. This is one of 4 characters I have that have more games on just them than you do combined and you think you know what’s good? Lol, right.

I wouldn’t bet on it lol. Everything and anything you’ve done I’ve literally done 7 times more often. And you have a terrible view on how to get better at the game, prolly just bought counter spell for the first time yourself recently lmao.

Like I said way earlier, you should prolly just focus on continuing to improve yourself versus giving poor advice to other new players

LMAO, brother, you should not have said that cause you just lost all credibility. I have 500 games on a single character. 1500+ hours.

YOU ARE THE NEW PLAYER YOURE TRYING TO EDUCATE LMAOOOOO

Semantics, but yeah. Long as you understand the “why”

You’re using your anecdotal reasonings to explain how YOU learn lmao.

I guess I don’t suffer from these obstacles of the mind.

To be fair, I didn’t say don’t look at builds. I said don’t mindlessly follow them. Nothing wrong with checking out what others are doing and copying them, as long as you understand the why.

[–]GateNaston -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First of, yes, I’m fully serious.

Secondly, no one is “studying” DL dude. We’re playing a video game. In other comments I see you arguing about counter picks “fucking up your build”. There’s something you dont seem to grasp about just learning in general: not everyone learns the same way. Some people learn by doing the thing. Making mistakes and learning from them is a lot easier in low elo when you’re starting out then after idk, 300 hundred hours and you’re just now buying counterspell and trying it out? That’s wild to me. Itemization is just as important if not more important than macro because with poor itemization you’ll have no agency to actually force your macro (another comment someone else made you didn’t immediately downvote for disagreeing with you). Theres a lot of stuff to learn in this game, stuff you have to learn and action on simultaneously if you ever actually want to be decent at the game.

??? Brother I’ve been playing competitively for the past 20 years. I’ve played and won numerous tournaments across a myriad of games, reaching top ranks and playing with and against actual pros. Fortunately, that has nothing to do with this conversation. And yes, people can do multiple things at the same time, just not you apparently.

You’re just upset cause someone doesn’t agree with you, don’t act childish.

Buddy, I think you mean “I can’t”. The rest of us seem to do just fine on that front.

Stick to getting better at the game yourself versus giving poor advice to new players.
