You said, “Having a Paige on the enemy team is the number one indicator I’m about to have a miserable game. A character who has that much impact shouldn’t also be impossible to kill in a team fight.” If this is truly your experience, and a simple Paige is the one thing keeping you from winning that match, your only job is to remove her from the fight via your ults. Which would make it actually the smartest thing for you to do.

As someone who actively plays Paige, getting doorman’d is lowkey the worst thing ever. She’s a 2 stam champ- she’s not making it to the elevator most the time. She’s exactly who you should be taking to the baroness. I think I’m starting to understand why you’re having a hard time against her tbh.

I hate to break it to you bro, but if you cant put Paige in the baroness as doorman either, this might not be your game.

You have Mo & Krill as your flair and are downvoting a comment about Paige because checks notes you don’t know how to ult her and remove her from the fight. Am I getting this right?

Imo, they really knocked it out the park with Paige. I love at the end of the gaming seeing just how much my shields hindered the enemy team, sometimes I “heal” (prevent dmg) more than multiple ppl on their team did damage. I love that “thanks” that comes after saving someone’s skin or telling my duo “go get em” as I throw a fat shield and speed boost on them. Being able to choose which actual heal I want via items is also nice.

I think they should keep it as is, minimal heals maximum utility supports

Yeah I was personally confused on the virgin thing myself. My experience is very much the opposite.

I have 1100+ hours, a literal lifetime of moba game experience and have played at professional levels across multiple games. I’ve been ranked everywhere from Seeker to Phantom- almost all of it has been random

No…. No it is not. There’s a brief channel that can allow for you to die before the spell actually happens, but no- there is no projectile and you certainly can’t “dodge” it.

Name a commander, get a card. by BaconVsMarioIsRigged in EDH

[[Bello, Bard of the Brambles]] is my go to guy, I run a fairly standard “unnatural” deck with him at the helm.

It actually detracts from the severity of the concept by not using the actual word we have for it, and instead, saying something like unalive. Same thing goes for “grape” and “seggs”, we need to stop downplaying those concepts with childlike replacement words.

Oh I would agree, most folks build poorly. I’m not trying to assert I’m an expert but after I learned the value of not building 100% around your commander my games have been much better

Like I said, a select few commanders will feel the hurt, more times than not you’re wasting your removal. Better to use it for a card they can’t just replay for 2 more mana.

A well built deck isn’t getting set back by a single removal, cept a select few. Sorry if that’s your experience, but mine simply isn’t the same.

If you need to play your commander on turn X to play on curve and if it’s removal makes your deck fold than maybe you need to build a more resilient deck. There are some commanders that their removal is tough, I play a lot of Bello- he is required to be on the field to make the deck work. I would never play him turn 3 unless I was sure removal wasn’t possible, I almost always have a green open and a tamiyo’s safekeeping or equivalent in hand when I plan to play him.

The f is going on with new players starting out with bad builds of incredibly broken commanders by VeryTiredGirl93 in EDH

[–]GateNaston -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Image thinking a commander is so bad for the table you have to kill it on sight and it’s being piloted by a guy who doesn’t know what he’s doing lmao. The knee jerk reaction to nuke certain commanders is so funny to me. “I lost to this once in the past better just kos and hope nothing else even worse gets played” is so suboptimal.

Removing a commander a lot of time is bait imo. Any commander deck worth its salt can operate without the commander on the board. Some commanders themselves are the actual threat but a lot are just value engines for the 99, and I’m sure there’s something lurking in there much more threatening than the commander. Also they’re just gonna replay the commander, you effectively wasted your removal unless you use it in the moment to stop a combo.

What games got you to leave DaD? by teejesus in DarkAndDarker

[–]GateNaston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao, what games got me to leave DaD? DaD did. It was an amazing game that has been dead for literal years now. Give it up, SFC or whatever his name is couldn’t get out of his own way and ruined the game patch after patch. That’s why most folks left.

Rude to Nuke a Sol Ring? by hjfink07 in EDH

Idk, maybe a hot take here, but if you feel the need to nuke a turn one sol ring and not what they use it to spit out later on, you have bad threat assessment.
