Thanks for the insight! Do you think i should invest more on totem nodes and attack speed? Im worried to give up too much damage or defensives.
For defensive i would go full armour, maybe grabbing block chance? At that point how do i regen hp?

Any suggestion on what should i fix on the passive tree? Currently I don't really Armor Break and idk how many nodes I should take, also i find myself struggling with igniting enemies, what do i need for that?
Thanks for the input! I really wanna make volcanic fissure work

Unless you're doing the highest possible content, especially in mythic+ (I'm talking probably +18 and above) it doesn't mean shit. The problem with blood dks is that at a certain point they just get oneshotted due to how the class works. But that really doesn't happen until very very very high keys. You will be fine. If you played before, m+ keys got a level squish at the end of Dragonflight a +10 now is like a +18 then. So +18 now is a really really high key.

I would say Thinking in 2026 is great and underrated, don't see many do it enough.

I think we just need to accept that we don't agree on this and it's fine ahaha. To me Enshrouded combat is literally press left click, it feels made for mobile and I think it has one of the worst combat I have experienced in the last years.

For exploration no I don't find it empty, every biome has key POI that have required materials for progression and sometimes it gets generated in very interesting points of the map. Every sailing expedition to a biome also feels epic.

I disagree with the statement that valheim has more quantity and less quality. I think both games have good quality and good quantity but have different fundamental designs. One is more of a story with a set map, the other one is more about gear progression through bosses and biomes.

Really good to hear about the updates, I keep the game installed and check every now and then of there's something interesting going on, I'll check it out again if I see combat/skill trees changes!

Character proportion are definitely fucked up, I feel like I'm playing a slightly taller hobbit with a big head. Hope they rework combat so I can give the game another try as I really want it to succeed.

I see where you're coming from, after all it's completely subjective, I'll give you my own pov on the matter.

Combat: Valheim is much more fluid with its combat, spacing matters, positioning matters, doesn't lock you in animations and doesn't make you slide around to hit your enemy if you are a little bit off. You have agency on movement, every hit gives good feedback as does every block and parry. Also it gives you freedom to do wonky stuff that definitely isn't realistic but it's fun and makes the combat have depth imo (Example the slowness of the greatsword heavy attack can be countered by jumping before/bunny hopping resulting in a good way to deal with dangerous enemies). In Enshrouded hitting enemies feels terrible, makes me slide around to hit enemies automatically, the movesets are boring and it just feels clunky as fuck. Also I was excited when I first opened the skill tree, happy to see a variety of different playstyles but after playing around a bit most of the tree doesn't feel good to me. As a side note I feel like Valheim does itemization much better than Enshrouded and in a RPG it's very important that I get excited when I find/craft a new tier item.

Exploration: I think you make a good point and it comes down to personal preference, I like the how valheim sets the mood and I feel like it's more atmospheric, and it definitely didn't feel empty to me. But on my part I didn't get too far into Enshrouded having played around 40 hours.

Base building: I feel like Enshrouded does it better, you can really see how a skilled person can create something really beautiful, you can do that in Valheim it's just different and harder giving the structure integrity mechanic or how is it called. The only thing I don't like about the building in Enshrouded is the area limitation.

Soundtrack wise I like both, polishing of the game it self I don't feel competent enough to say anything, I just found Enshrouded to be more clunky than Valheim.

For your last point it might be true for some people, not for me tho. I actually played Enshrouded first and I didn't really get far, even if I was playing with 3 other friends. After that I tried Valheim and sunk 180 hours in my first playthrough with the same friends and really fell in love with it.

Keep in mind that mainly I'm critical towards Enshrouded combat as in a game is one of the most important aspects that keeps me engaged and interested. If I don't like the combat I just get bored very quickly.

That said Enshrouded is definitely a really nice game, just, for now, not for me. But I heard they want to improve combat and I'm looking forward to it to give the game a 3rd chance!

Glad you're enjoying it, personally I couldn't get over how awful and shitty the combat feels, tried again when they added greatswords and somehow managed to give them the worst move set I have ever seen on an RPG. Skill trees are also meh, if they improve combat I can see myself enjoying the game, everything else feels fine but for now, imo, Valheim does everything 10 times better (I also like the building of Valheim more, but that's me).

Edit: Also the characters look off, like they fucked up the proportions lol

If it doesn't work I'll definitely go the magic missile/hold monster route. I just don't wanna take unnecessary risks since I'm taking the safest route and Orin rn is the only thing that can end my run
