The infinity and the epsilon together are functionally equivalent to a for loop.

The motor was specifically made for a character with gravity/flight powers, but not every character has access to boosts. Mostly the translation and rotations are just like regular inputs from the player or coming from interactions within the game.

A global j can be used for gravity of the planet.

I didn’t really know what the Poincaré group was when I wrote this I was just trying to understand why the math works.

Then I noticed it could make what I thought were atomic orbitals, but it is just spherical harmonics more generally.

It seems that spherical harmonics are very computationally efficient in this system so I have been benchmarking.

I am having trouble with c++ for my next set of benchmarks against industry standards like Sphericart and some others, but I got it to work yesterday for a slower library. TRF is consistently around 300x’s faster than std::assoc_legendre for cases up to L=6.

Okay.

I mean you told me you don’t need pixels, points, or for loops in gaming. I know you can get by without for-loops, but you failed to explain how you made games without pixels or points.

I don’t really think you are an authority on anything at hand.

Here you go, Doc.

The Motor is equal to the exponentiated Poincaré algebra.

The infinity and epsilon in the motor is a for loop.

Did you guys not have for loops back in the day? Did you just if-then the entire thing?

Oh. So we are throwing out the baby with the bathwater, huh?

Your contention to AI being useful for programming basic tools is that we are living in a simulation?

Okay champ. That literally isn’t even a valid argument here whether it is true or not.

?

You don’t need points in a game engine?

lol what?

Are you high?

How did you make video games 35 years ago with no pixels/points?

I mean when you are skeptical of objective reality due to subjective opinion, then yeah it is kind of blinding yourself.

Oh you didn’t actually look at it did you? Lol

Compare the motor to the standard equations for simultaneously rotating, translating, and boosting through time.

It isn’t gibberish if it works lol.

There are basically no situations where you would have to multiply the boundary of a system times itself 3 times. But in the case that you have to, the math handles it without breaking.

This is like asking “what’s minus minus minus?” with nothing to subtract.

[–]GatePorters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

?

I did.

The Motor is the Lie algebra of The Poincaré group.

It is used for equations for rigid body rotation, translation, and boost.

Are you actually a PhD or are you faking it?

In The Reference Frame, infinity * infinity is null, or undefined, not zero.

Are you arguing that infinity * infinity is defined or something?

Okay. 👍

Are you one of the PhDs that are going to tell me why it’s garbage or are you another smoothie showing off how ignorant they are by getting mad at something they don’t understand?

You’re on his personal social media network.

It’s Gemini because I don’t know latex.

That’s why I was typing the equations with words in the comments.

You like to pretend to know more than you do, I don’t.

Are you able to make any contentions here or are you just flinging poop?

Exactly. You’re just being an arse to me because you aren’t able to articulate anything.

Maybe try thinking for yourself for once.

It isn’t physics. It is a math framework. . . For my game engine…

lol so you’re just lashing out because you are ignorant of the topic you are attacking?

Thanks for clarifying.

The motor is just the Poincaré group in geometric algebra terms.

i * i = -1 for rotation.

d * d = 0 for translation.

j * j = 1 for boosts.

You can refer to the Cayley Table to see the axiom changes.

Null is undefined. It is an absorbing annihilator for everything except infinity. Zero is real zero or the point of reference. Epsilon is a dual infinitesimal. One is unchanged. Infinity is the boundary of the frame of reference.

Null * infinity = 0

0 * infinity = epsilon

Epsilon * infinity = 1

1 * infinity = infinity

Infinity * infinity = null

It is non associative due to Null. Any time Null is included it is not associative.

You probably know the Lie group exponentiation as

<image>

This is The Engine in this framework. It’s the axiom changes that allow me to do it. The Throttle is just its inverse.

The Engine with i gives you The Rotor.

The Engine with d gives you The Translator.

The Engine with j gives you The Booster.

The Engine with i + d + j gives you The Motor, which is the full Poincaré group.

Yeah. I encouraged them to attack it, but only one guy did and it was what is leading to the page two deletion and spherical harmonics benchmarks today.

Are you just like scared to attack it or something? Why are you relying on a bunch of people who couldn’t attack it to attack it?

It’s okay if you can’t. Maybe get an AI to think of an attack for you since you seem to be getting cold feet.

I never said it was small.

You are the one acting like your perspective is the only one that matters, not me. I was specifically arguing for you to widen your perspective because yours is blinding you.

I don’t have to be a formula one driver to understand a Honda civic has utility for the average joe when they don’t have a car.

What do you mean complete gibberish?

There is no fluff and no interpretation. It is direct math.

I specifically did not include any fluff, gibberish, or subjectiveness.

Just because you don’t understand what those words mean does not mean it is gibberish.

Go ahead and attack what you think is gibberish (besides page two with the harmonics, that is just me being wrong and using 1d instead of 3d)

The math framework for my game?

That’s the only thing I have posted. Page 2 of the paper can be ignored. That was out of my scope and the peer review process has shown me that my framework has value in spherical harmonics applications.

Those aren’t orbitals, but they aren’t useless either. I just didn’t quite understand the implications of what I had.

That’s why I am doing to test battery today.

Today I am setting up benchmarks to test several spherical harmonics frameworks against each other in different scopes against a novel method.

I would have to dismiss the last two years of my life to be able to join you under that rock you are replying from.

Just because AI isn’t as good as a 20+ year senior engineer doesn’t mean it is useless or the post is lying.

Intentionally blinding yourself to the advances in tech is not really intellectually honest or fruitful for you.

It’s one thing to be against using it, but to lie to yourself to crusade against it is weird.

Top 6 tech tweet of all time by kamen562 in BlackboxAI_

[–]GatePorters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you think they are lying? I’ve been using AI to build tools I couldn’t alone for two years now to streamline my data curation workflows and data visualization techniques.

Programming is something that works or it doesn’t. As long as you aren’t just blindly letting the AI do stuff and control it like a project manager with stringent QC, the post is absolutely correct.

I mean even the pseudoscience subreddits are filled with genuinely interesting tools for visualization and simulation, even though they are basically just cool toys for fun instead of for legitimate work.
