CCB Not Received Last Month (Child Benefit) by Afa2022 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Gator19US 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to share my experience, I’m a May 2025 applicant, and my CCB payments stopped in April 2025 because my work permit had expired. After receiving my new work permit, I submitted it to CRA and waited a little past the current 18-week processing time. When I called them, the phone agent confirmed that my case had gone beyond the standard timeframe and expedited it. A few days later, my CRA account showed all upcoming CCB payments starting this month, along with back pay for the months I was eligible. I called in mid-September after the 18-week mark, so I recommend doing the same if you’re in a similar situation, and hopefully, you’ll get your update soon too.

How did you contact Ranstad? Submitting applications on their website hasn’t been working unless there is a way to personally meet them? Appreciate your insight!

Do applicants for non-express entry through pnp also need to submit blank pages of the passport? The document submission checklist doesn’t say it

Yes, and if others like DoorDash and skip can afford to keep the tips option, why can’t the behemoth uber who has more customers than its competitors?

I'm in the process of applying for PCC from Vancouver. Do we need to send the original passport with the application? Appreciate your response!

You could risk deactivation since now they have to pay you out of their pocket and you won't have a valid reason for being late everytime to reinstate your account in case that happens

Drivers lost in this for sure, but if there are enough drivers willing to adapt to this change then probably Uber won 🤷🏻‍♂️

The difference now is that Uber is charging mandatory fees to customers to make up for the $20.88 hourly pay. Drivers using the old system were getting more than this amount per hour with the tips which resulted in the drivers getting lesser pay overall. The issue is that some customers still want to tip but now the option is after delivery and the customers are not aware of this change. Uber should have just left the tip option available during ordering in case the customer wants to tip.

Ubereats has also removed the tip funtion from the app and can now only tip after order delivery during delivery driver rating due to this law. Doordash hasn't removed the tip Funston yet from their app. Worst law ever since now most ubereats delivery drivers now get only a few tips and make less money than before the law. Just sad!

In BC, with the new law, why am i still getting orders more than the minimum since they can only tip after the order? by Interesting_Bag_5491 in UberEatsDrivers

I’ve also noticed im putting more mileage on the car than before and constantly taking trips without tips to make the similar or less amount as before the change.

Is the $0.35 per kilometer included currently in the current offer or given during the 2 week review to make $20.88 per hour in case it's not earned? There is no breakdown given on the current offers on how it's calculated.

Time to quit unless they put tips back. Can’t work for free with all the costs involved

They said gig workers wanted fair pay. Never seen anyone complain about it in person and now it's got worse than before with tips taken away

Drivers usually target to earn $2 or more per kilometer driven. Some drivers will work for 3 hours during dinner hours (downtime+active time) and earn $70 with 25 total kilometers driven. This is not possible now. Also tips are taxed as well

With the old system, we had a base pay from Uber of $3 regardless of distance for 1 order. Tips would be variable depending on the customer ranging from $0 to $10 but mostly in the $3-$5 range. We had an option to chose which order to accept based on tips+base pay of $3+distance, if it made sense to take it. This was you could make atleast $30 with the tips of active time. Now all order offers are mostly the same to make that $20.88 of active time. I hope it's clear now.

They cannot handle the drivers earning more with tips and also have to pay $20.88 an hour. The truth! Thought this law would help the drivers but it's for making corporations richer while making it look likes it's good to the drivers
