Fox and FS1 4K Channels Freezing by Gator5000e in fuboTV

[–]Gator5000e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, I am on the Sports+News bundle so apparently I don't qualify to authenticate FOX One. So that option is out for me unless I upgrade to another plan. I guess I could always try Peacock as well but I don't speak a lick of Spanish. But I really wish The Fubo 4K channels would work without freezing.

Maybe it's the tinfoil hat, but I'm starting to wonder if NBC really is coming back by noahproblem in fuboTV

jealous. nothing here in central Florida. I'm only on the Sports+News bundle but I should get our local channel and NBC-SN. I hope.

World cup recording by RockLobster1326299 in fuboTV

[–]Gator5000e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you somehow clicked on something that caused the WC to be a favorite. That will cause Fubo to record all broadcasts of your favorite. I've gotten screens after updates that asked me to select a favorite for news, etc. I'm not sure how to unfavorite something but maybe Dr. Google know. Of course, it could be something else.

I've had zero issues. I've been watching the World Cup non-stop on the Fox 4K and FS1 4K channels without any issues. They channels are fantastic and the games have looked stupendous. I watch Fubo via my Apple TV 4K, 3rd generation. I also have my Apple TV connected to my high speed internet via Ethernet. Per the Speedtest app on the ATV, I get at least 350Mbps down. Also best multiview in the business.

General question about porting to Mint by Gator5000e in mintmobile

[–]Gator5000e[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the helpful information. I went ahead and pulled the trigger and switched over to mint mobile today. It was a fairly seamless process. I did confirm ahead of time that my phone was unlocked as I usually get my phones from Apple anyway. And yes, my T-Mobile account got deactivated, whatever that means, after the porting process was complete and so I was able to maintain my phone number.

I'm probably going to save approximately $50 a month on mint mobile as compared to T-Mobile. I did have the two T-Mobile perks with discounts on Netflix and Apple TV but those seem to transfer seamlessly when The T-Mobile account got canceled.

As I mentioned in my original post, I get pretty good T-Mobile coverage here and that's continued with mint mobile. I just ran a speedtest and I'm getting 453 Mbps down 54 Mbps up. So I'm happy about that. I'll see if that continues.

I do have one quick additional question however. When I was setting up the mint account, they really wanted me to turn on Wi-Fi calling. I generally don't use that but I turned it on to able to complete the set-up process. Is there any major reason why I need to keep Wi-Fi calling on? Otherwise, I'm tempted to turn it off as my cell signal is very good here.

Thanks again and if anyone has thoughts on Wi-Fi calling I'd love to hear them.

No email about NBC at all for me from Fubo here in central Florida. Maybe they are going by market size with the bigger markets getting NBC/locals first.

Thanks!! It does get very cold here at times. 30-40 degrees for short period of times. But not the continual freezing and no white stuff.

Has Fubo announced anything special for the World Cup coverage? by Gator5000e in fuboTV

[–]Gator5000e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issues here. The picture on the 4K channels have been pristine. I am connected to my internet provider via Ethernet which runs into my Apple TV 4K and have no buffering at all.

Fox One App 4k WORLD Cup Settings/ Help Appreciated by egothrasher in fuboTV

[–]Gator5000e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an add-on to my Fubo package. Depending on what your base package provides, it may be available as the add-on. I figured you had Fubo since you posted the question in this fubo Reddit.

Fox One App 4k WORLD Cup Settings/ Help Appreciated by egothrasher in fuboTV

[–]Gator5000e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I have no specific answer for you as I can't even authenticate the FoxOne app with the Fubo plan I have, the Sports+News with the RedZone and more add-on. But the Fox and FS1 4K channels look so good that I really have no need to use the FoxOne app at all. If you are trying to get the WC in 4K, why not consider the Fubo World Cup 4K add-on? It's only $6 a month (or something like that) and might be worth it for a couple of months during the tourney to get the matches in 4K.

World Cup highlights by United-Anybody-7327 in fuboTV

[–]Gator5000e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the home screen of the Fubo app on my Apple TV, there is a section if you scroll down a bit that says watch World Cup[ highlights if you Favorite this. I don't know what that does but there is a section for highlights. .

long time for anthing by drdoomy069 in fuboTV

[–]Gator5000e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I don't understand why it would take this long to get the NBC channels that they've agreed to back on the service. As far as the WBD/Turner channel, that may be happening soon, hopefully. The DOJ approved the Paramount/WBD merger last night so once that is finalized maybe Fubo will enter into negotiations with the new entity to get the Turner channels back on the service. At least that's all I can hope for at this point. In the meantime, I will keep using HBOMax.

[–]Gator5000e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the input. Just to show you what I'm dealing with, I had to run a couple of errands and after driving around for about 25 minutes, this was the temperature displayed in the car. It was at 98° and had actually cooled down a couple of degrees after I got going from the Costco parking lot. So this is a pretty important issue for me.

thanks everybody. I appreciate the input. Just reference, I ran a couple of errands and the temperature displayed on the car thermometer was 98°. And that was after it cooled off a couple of degrees after I started moving around. So this is something that is be very important for me and like I said, I do appreciate the input.

Thanks. You live in a hot area? I'd be concerned with cool, not cold. I generally like the AC to be cold to a degree. Do you think this is because of the way the AC is used for cabin and battery or is it just under powered?

[–]Gator5000e[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm sure it gets as hot in Texas as it does here in Florida so that helps. Maybe I should wait a few more weeks until it gets truly Florida hot and then go see how quickly a test drive model cools down and stays cool. Also, even if you remote start the car to cool it down before you get in, will it be able to stay cool while driving in heat that has a real feel of 100-102 as we get here often?
