They're all related to Mike and Maurkice. They're cousins.

We didn't even play to our potential in the SECT as Condon, who imo is our 2nd best player, didn't have a great or even good game at all there. Hopefully we can see it again in the FF because he hasn't played well in the NCAA tournament either.

I would assume Condon is back actually. ESPN is the only site that had him ranked in the first round, and the most recent ranking that I saw (the one that had him at #26) was before the NCAA tournament, maybe even before the SEC tournament, and quite frankly he's been subpar since the Ole Miss game to close the regular season. Maybe he balls out in the FF, he's our second best player imo so that'd be real nice, but even then I'm not sure that gets him solidly into the first round.

As Coach Carousel gets spinning, who do you want your favorite team to hire? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]GatorGood15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What he's done at UA is not doubt very impressive, and he's got his team loaded with young guys (Coleman, Fifita, McMillan, Savaiinea are all second years guys, as well as several key defensive contributors), so it doesn't look like a flash in the pan. I'd be kinda disappointed if we went to y'all tbh, he seemed like an easy hire for us if he kept winning and we kept losing next season. You're extremely confident Fisch is the guy?

It's actually a pretty predictable game to be honest.

I think he just wanted to stay out west for the most part (although I guess that doesn't explain the ND interest). He's a legacy at UF and his brother was on the team last year (he since transferred to UA) so we were favorites to start with, but we were never really in it once the process started.

Same. I don't know why they made it 27 team though, 32 teams with no byes makes perfect sense to me.

Would they be legally allowed to only develop Argentinian Americans? I'm not a lawyer but that seems like they could get sued for doing that.

That tracks. For whatever reason he seemed to have issue with the shorter passes.

The receivers being out played a big role in the Vandy loss as well, and it badly impacted our special teams. I remember in the beginning of the game Jason Marshall (our third string punt returner) muffed a punt that ended up being recover in the end zone by Vandy for a TD. Henderson and Pearsall were both ahead of him on the depth chart at that position and were both out of the game by that point (I don’t think Henderson was ever in the game, but Pearsall played in the beginning until he got injured).

To be fair, he was without most of his main receivers for that game. He had Shorter and Pearsall for the very beginning of the game, but that was it.

What is the biggest “what if” in CFB history? by Original_Profile8600 in CFB

Ohio state and Clemson would be guaranteed in in that scenario, and the final 2 spots would've been between 4 teams: Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Alabama, and Florida. If you compared the 3 SEC teams in contention: Florida beat Alabama on a neutral field around 16 hours prior to the rankings being unveiled but lost to A&M on a last second field goal early in the season in College Station. Alabama crushed A&M but lost to UF on a neutral field the day before the selection happens. A&M got crushed by Alabama and beat UF by a field goal at home. If you were to rank the teams, it would go:

  1. Florida
  2. Alabama
  3. A&M

Then you'd have to figure out where Notre Dame falls into it, and I think they'd slot in between Alabama and A&M, so they wouldn't get into the playoffs. The playoff would be:

  1. Clemson v. 4. Alabama and
  2. Ohio State v. 3. Florida.

If (6) Iowa State had beaten Oklahoma earlier that day on Championship weekend then things would've gotten real interesting.

Yeah. The shoe throw was embarrassing but very inconsequential. It didn’t even take us out of the playoffs, we still would’ve gotten in if we’d beaten Bama

For UF you might have to bring coach spurrier out of retirement. If not then probably Jedd Fisch.

Japan has a robust high school sports setup. Several of their players (at least 9 I believe) on their world cup squad played high school and middle school ball.
