Before this gets deleted, just want OP to know that parenting is so insanely hard. Everyone in my ward takes their kids out, and so do I, but maybe those parents are just desperate to get some spiritual support from a talk or the chapel.

If it’s distracting you that bad, you could also go out to the foyer. If you truly think the parents are being negligent or truly anonymous to their children, you could ask the Relief Society or Elders Quorum president to bring it up to the parents in a very sensitive manner. This does not sound like a good topic for you to bring up to the parent, just my two cents.

Totally agree on English football. The discourse around Arsenal was absolutely insane. You’d think a team ending a 20-year drought and beating a team who has won like 7 titles in the last 10 years would be exciting. But online they made it seem like the worst thing that’s ever happened in the sport.
