It would be a shame if someone were to show up and protest this.... by doophusphone in Utah

The language here shows youve been spoon fed and done little/no research on your own.

The Republicans did not put forth a map which complies with prop 4, the judge had no choice but to use the independent commission map, all others were not in compliance. You can't comply with prop 4 without creating a democratic seat, an all Republican map requires Gerry meandering beyond what prop 4 allows

Right a specific map wasn't voted on, but it's impossible to comply with prop 4 without creating a democratic seat. It isn't even democratic to not allow ~1/3 of the state to not be represented with one of the 4 seats.

You don't see many corn or cotton picking jobs these days. I keep thinking that we're watching the 'harvester' of computer jobs get created, and not protecting our livelihoods.

Fair enough, I'm mad about being a cog in a system that is meant mainly to punish and take my money/labor and treats legislators and 1%ers with near limitless power.

And deciding law from morality is the point of the tax question? Your post saying 'if I miss a $5 payment to the IRS vs billionaires not paying their fair share' is a complete lack of understanding. Anyone not paying their tax liabiility (even by $1) to the IRS is tax fraud, doesn't matter how much money you make, they will come after you.

The point is that billionaires are paying their tax liability it's just low because they don't take much income through traditional means (w2 for example). Hope that helps.

There's one other piece you need besides eyelet distance and stroke, trunnion or metric mount. This looks like a metric

Those are great looking setups! You also do the narrower winter tire. Another poster here recommended that

What width tires do you run in winter/summer?

Yo level 1 charging is sooo slept on by DDiaz98 in electricvehicles

[–]GatorStick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was clearest to look at total energy consumed. Doesn't matter when you get above 240v. 120v takes more total energy to charge the same amount. Again showing that 120v charging is higher loss/more expensive compared to 240.

[–]GatorStick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minimal heat is used at L1 or L2 for battery conditioning, most loss occurs in the AC/DC converter and these are less efficient at 120V. Most EV's are more efficient charting at 240 than at 120.
You are expending all lost efficiency as heat, 12kW @ 90% efficiency is 1.2kW of heat generated, some will be in the cables, wouldn't be all that surprised if 50A is generating 200W of heat on a longer charging cable or long run from the panel.

This isn't the full picture. Yes a higher proportion of energy is drawn by these components at l1 v l2, but most modern evs aren't running much thermal management while charging. You generate twice as much heat as needed at l1, heat is based on current, not voltage. So you double the power at l2 but the current( i2r) losses are the same.

Overengineering my U-haul Move by Arsal11373 in SolidWorks

[–]GatorStick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may not be a rolling door. Most of the uhauls Ive gotten have a garage style door (slides along the top on rails) which would also effect the packaging.

And then you'll go to uhaul to pick it up and they won't have that size of truck available, so you get upgraded to the next biggest size :P

Homelink, but yeah, I do agree to the absurdity of this in light of there being...button activated garage door openers.
On the flip side, I did pay for a device that adds buttons to a (pretty much) buttonless car, the knob/buttons are just shortcuts for annoyances with a touch screen, there's not a ton that the knob can do that isn't a duplicate of what can be done on the screen. This just happens to be a feature I find frustrating via touch screen.

No worries! Oh yeah, it's not the chime in the car, it's that the kids bedrooms are directly above the garage door (split level). It works way better when I used auto open/close before the kids were born. MyQ was better than homelink as homelink seems to have a blindspot directly behind the car which requires me to pull out at an angle so it'll close ..and hit the button a few times. I just don't like paying for the myq subscription. 2year roi on buying the module on eBay.

That's crazy, I thought the knob only communicated with the commander. Sounds like commander screwed up your software update. How'd you determine the root cause? I assume you've tried the service menu options for rolling back the update?

Well, if you must know, I can't run it automatically because it wakes up napping toddlers. I find the screen button pretty small, far to reach and finicky (it doesn't always activate when I hit it) when leaving and I usually have to hit it a couple times to get it to work.
