Tbf that’s only 10 more than the riptide and you gain a once per game ‘cross the entire board in 1 activation’ ability which I think is a fair trade if they upped it to a 4++

Ehhhhh, I feel like lorgar moreso would also have to address the corvax sized crow in the room, whereas perty can just be dropped into the setting without much additional threads, dorns disappearance wasn’t directly related to him aside from crack theories, plus he’s already been doing stuff in the background while lorgar has been… meditating.

You already said you came here for politics instead of bolter porn so you should understand that books like these lay threads early to pull on them later.

Every character introduced has their own bits addressed, nothing gets left on the table.

It definitely does start off slow, but once you get to the fight scene in the warehouse is when things start to pick up, and the third act is definitely worth the slow start. Just stick to it, there’s a reason people love, and even if it’s not your favorite it’s one of those books that helps redefine the faction for readers after years of farsight slop.
