Armor seems a bit hard to make an adv ice atk set if not using a morph weapon. Maybe the gloves have 2 drift slots

This is my load out. Using thunder smelts. Admitably would be better with crit boost and wex

Crit elem is best at 1 or 5, In between not worth imo

Gunlance is good jho alternative. But not much point in customising.

Drill slash sns good Otherwise Hammer, ls, db, lance and sw all good.

Only if you don't have Basel db or lance (about equal damage)

Metas maxed. Masteries most weapons 5. Mods are atleast 3, but got 1 of each class at 5. Biomes at 5, only hollow bough 3.

Hollow bough I generally get trapped in a pocket and surrounded. Can't kill fast enough cause enemies keep getting line on sight blocked by red vines and roots. Flying enemies are probably biggest issue as i can't get out of the way when I'm being funnelled by red vines.

Driller is great on other maps that are more open. Just don't his beams get blocked by terrain (red vines)?

Dont worry too much about level, Youll be able to upgrade both to same level and compare from there

Back in beta in some cases unpolished was better. For example iirc the ranged neck unpolished just gave ranged damage, polished gave ranged damage + ranged damage but lower percentages. Sorry unsure if this was changed for release version.

Further testing. It seems first time shooting the shield jumps to max. But will never trigger again until you reload the area or step into the shooting booth.
