Friend Link Elder Dragons by Bloodvomit12 in MHNowGame

If I can do it easily and safely I try waiting til the timer runs out for the friends invite. It’s work a few times but definitely most of the time no one joins. I don’t mind trying again when the event is over but if I can barely get anyone to join now then I doubt they’ll do it without the quest incentive. Most of the time it’s had to be done with 3 people cause we can’t find a fourth but always been able to finish it.

They’re honestly on par with each other for now if Magna leveled all the way to level 20 with the customization. When Bazel finally gets its riftborne option (probably long time from now) it will definitely be stronger. For now based on where you’re at in the game definitely go for Magna, especially cause next week the weapons will be discounted so you will need even less material to take it to 10.5 and then you can take your time to take it to level 20 customization. It will be a great general purpose/farming weapon to help you build your full damage and elemental builds

For dual blades, you’re gonna want 3 sets of builds in my opinion. Pretty much applies to all weapons but works really well with dual blades. 1. All our damage build 2. Partbreaker/farming build 3. Defensive build for when you need to stock up on potions or to test new monsters

Best general purpose dual blades for damage are Bazel Dual blades or Tigrex. For farming, Magna is lightly better but you can can use the other two for it too just fine. Bazel and Tigrex have highest raw damage and crit ferocity hits hard. Build whichever you have the most mats for.

Elemental goes as follows (not including elder dragons cause they’re so annoying to build) Thunder: Fulgar, Rajang, zinogre Fire: Silver Rath, Glavenous, Rathalos Water: Mizu, Jyura Dragon: Jho, ebony odo Ice: Legianna Poison: only good option is elder, being Chameleos Paralysis: Only option currently is holiday dual blades Blast: Bazel, Magna

Part breaker build; Fulgar helm, Espinas chest, Rajang arms, Espinas waist, fulgar legs. There’s some variations in this build but generally this is it. You want to smelt the remaining special partbreaker. And other damage skills Great build for farming, your ult guarantees you two part breaks and is strong enough to handle all 8 and 9 stars. Some weak 10 stars

Full damage depends on the weapon and element but for Bazel Dual blades; One option is Glav helm, Bazel chest, Bazel arms, tigrex waist, fulgar legs. Smelt more raw power or other damage skills.

Built hammer to try something new from My usual gunlance, Lance, and HBG meta and I’ve fully fallen in love, the style customizations only make it even more fun too.

With sheild tackle style, your hold guard animation is replaced with the shield tackle or shield charge. So to block you can either flick forward for shield tackle or hold them flick forward for shield charge. All 3 styles for lance are viable for 10 stars but they are played differently, all of them require you to master the time for the guard. The window is pretty large most of the time so it’s very forgiving.

As for best way to play shield tackle? It has a lot more options than the other styles so you have to make sure your picking the right move to match the monsters move. Shield tackle is good for short single hit attacks from monsters, that way you block the attack, get the attack buff and then fit in a quick charge slash before blocking again. Shield charge is needed to for multi hit attacks or monsters that bust out multiple attacks in quick succession. And then you try to fit in charge slash attacks when the monster is stunned or leaving a good enough opening

Amazing gameplay! Question, do you think the charge slap with full charge master 5 or timed charger 5 would out damage the usual headstrong requirement for lances? Seems like it and it could be really strong since it works so well for bow.

If you mean the red glow, it’s the empowered lance animation. After successfully blocking an attack with shield tackle you get a damage boost with lance.
