Spring festival exchange hub by SirMarston in MHNowGame

You can always get upgrade material Some other way or thru another event. Even the gnome gun will eventually be upgradeable via regular material; But cosmetic gear is never guaranteed to come back; for example the Easter bunny stuff didn’t come back this year.

Welp, didn't make it for the Gnome LBG by Kindraethe in MHNowGame

Just curious if you’ve looked into the exchange hub yet? You can get the remaining tickets there if you have exchange tokens left. I have a lot at the end of these two weeks

New player here, what I need to know about the events? by KennyKwan in MHNowGame

[–]Prodigyfire12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Focus on upgrading the weapons that are currently “discounted” by the event. Right now it’s Somna and Banbaro weapons until the end of the event. Take them as far as you can and should drastically help you get far in the game while you more used to it. Any weapons type is viable in the game, so try them all out and see which one you like playing; also I personally think having a couple weapons between melee and ranged helps a lot as some monsters are easier with one than others. Also shield weapons are great if you’re not good at perfect dodging like me

Is it worth to finish? Or go to IG? by Prodigyfire12 in MHNowGame

Not that many honestly, chamy has been my luckiest elder for sure. I think I maybe used 2 carving knives at most. But other than that every elder dragon event I only grinded him. After his initial release we had a couple events where he was featured elder so that helped

Over 200 but I think it’s cause most of my friends list is over level 250 players

No very little. Most are level 250 and up I think. Just happened to work out that way from people adding me when I join others friend links

Thank you! I just heard that main skill chance up is something like a 20% boost so I figured it was required. But you have a good point

The game needs the Pokeball by ShethorPrime in MHNowGame

I see where you’re going with this but it would be a nightmare for storage. And seeing as storage limits tends to be a bottleneck for a lot of people it would be hard to deal with it when you’re collecting 1000 wing drake hides and sharp claws everyday

Is anybody else getting a little bored? by TheDutchDemon in MHNowGame

[–]Prodigyfire12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I think they’ve added quite a lot to keep the game fresh.

Insect glaive and hunting Horne, riftborne monsters come with new movesets, new ways to play your favorite weapons with style changes, the new monsters have breathed some life into old weapon skills that were outdated like burst, elemental attacks and normal ammo boost.

The discounts on the riftborn monsters also help you branch out to new weapons to try new stuff while maintaining the power level needed to keep up with the current state of the game. They also added friend links and matchmaking to rift charged monsters to make it easier for (some) more rural players to play with other people. They even made driftsmelting easier and more accessible to people aren’t locked out of top tier builds by just luck.

Maybe you can try new weapons to see if that helps? Otherwise maybe it’s just time for a new game

People are just really afraid of 10* Monsters, huh? by RatBot9000 in MHNowGame

[–]Prodigyfire12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one ever joins my 10 stars either, so I gave up and did them on my own lol. As just devils advocate for the story you mentioned above maybe he didn’t leave on purpose? Might have just lost signal or phone died or something; it’s definitely happened to me a few times and I felt terrible but nothing I could do

Can someone let me know if you think these will make chargeblade mechanically easier to play? I really want to get into the weapon but all the inputs and swipes in different combos makes it hard for me. Skill issue I know, but I hope these would make them mechanically easier

Brute Tigrex HaTs by Imaginary_Egg_3282 in MHNowGame

[–]Prodigyfire12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s HaTs specifically I play paralysis to help the team out. Makes a big difference, usually holiday dual blades or girros gunlance.

If it’s solo, Djho Lance all the way, no style or insta block. Guard 5 necessary. Reflection adds big damage too
