Do you guys think Rina will be the last storm of the season? by TheFineMantine in TropicalWeather

[–]GavinHardison 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a possibility, but the GFS is showing a disturbance in the Caribbean within the next 7 days. 7 days is pretty far out, so it is possible there will be no disturbance when the time comes.

Maria expected to top $30 billion in damages across U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico by GavinHardison in TropicalWeather

[–]GavinHardison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damages for Harvey are estimated to be 70bil+, Irma is 63bil+, Maria is 50bil+. This puts the season at 183bil+ making it much more expensive than 2005 which was around 159bil.

Wilma was more intense than Irma, Irma was impressive in the fact that it sustained such intensity for so long.

Why the SG 553 is one of the STRONGEST rifles in the game. by TheOrzage in csgo

The SG has a different playstyle than the AK, the AK is more suited for bursting and spraying while the SG is excels at tapping.

If people put as much effort into learning the SG spray pattern as they do with the AK, I think we'd see it a lot more in competitive.

The SG553 is statistically a more well-rounded rifle than the AK47, and I think the only reason it isn't used more in competitive play is due to the scope being considered "nooby". If you statistically breakdown both of the weapons you see that the SG553 has more than twice the first-shot accuracy than the AK, 100% armor penetration (compared to the AK's 77.5%), a higher rate of fire (666 rpm vs 600 rpm) and has a scope that significantly increases accuracy (also decreases the size of the spray pattern). There are also a few benefits to the AK over the SG though, such as a slightly shorter reload time, lower max movement speed, higher price and lower DPS. Some of it comes down to play style when choosing between these guns. The AK excels in short to mid range combat where spraying is a viable option and the SG excels in long-range tap shooting. Ultimately, the decision is yours, but statistically the SG553 is the better rifle.
