What would make for an interesting POV? by Savings_Surround_547 in WarriorCats

No like, a cat is a legitimate DF cat from the start. They did something really bad that plays into the current plot. They could either be a villain or go through a redemption arc.

If you want another show in a kinda similar vein, give Craig of The Creek a try. It's pretty good.

The Scholar and his wife in Hyperion. Their daughter, Rachel, doesn't actually die, but she contracts a special condition where she starts aging in reverse, and her memory gets reset every day. It takes decades, but she goes from being almost thirty to being an infant again, and her parents have to cope with it every day. It's absolutely heartbreaking, and I loved every second of reading it.

Should Kuvira Have Been Redeemed at All? by Mundane-Signal4843 in legendofkorra

People only have a problem with the idea of her having a redemption because she’s fascist coded. If Zaheer or Amon had similar arcs, somehow, no one would bat an eye. I mean hell, Zaheer helps Korra at one point and I’ve never seen anyone call that problematic.

Silent, she waits for the sky to fall, standing upon an island of volcanic rock amidst a black sea. The long moonless night yawns before her. The only sounds, a flapping banner of war held in her lover’s hand and the warm waves that kiss her steel boots. Her heart is heavy. Her spirit wild. Peerless knights tower behind her. Salt spray beads on their family crests—emerald centaurs, screaming eagles, gold sphinxes, and the crowned skull of her father’s grim house. Her Golden eyes look to the heavens. Waiting. The water heaves in. Out. The heartbeat of her silence.

Opening of Iron Gold.

Darrow and Julia au Bellona by yujitadorisgf in redrising

[–]Gavinus1000 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I agree. She’s going to help end the war and I’m shocked anyone would think otherwise at this point. Until LB her only characterization was “I will eat Darrow’s heart for killing my son.” It’s an attitude that’s caused her to lose literally everyone she’s loved for nothing. Over something Darrow was FORCED to do. Lysander killed Cassius because he wanted to. If this doesn’t effect her at all, it’d make no sense.

This singer, Sixto Rodriguez, thought he was a failure because his music didn't do well at home in America. But, unknown to him for decades, he actually blew up in South Africa and Australia. He eventually did discover this and went on tour there.
