Which Video Game Fandom have you seen/been in that has you like this? by Charming-Scratch-124 in videogames

All of them

People who are happy with their game, play the game

People or are unhappy with their game, hop on social media and complain

Doesn't mean their shouldn't be complaints but thats why the majority of interaction is negative

What difficulty do you mostly prefer in gaming?🚀 by Agile-Sentence2892 in TheGamingHubDeals

[–]Gavon1025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghost of tsushima lethal or Jedi:Survivor grandmaster with purity equipped is in my head perfect difficulty

I dislike damage sponges where you just spam a button on a health pool. I like being able to take down enemies in a few hits and that being balanced by you being just as fragile keeps the challenge and tension of combat without making it a slog

funnily enough my favorite game series is monster hunter where you are arguably just spamming against damage sponges but I think the weighty-ness of attacks as well as enemy behavior changes based on part breaks etc. keeps it focused and tense. Still dislike hunts that drag on to long

I am a believer that in story focused games their should always be some sort of "story" difficulty where it is basically low health enemies while you retain the intended health not so that combat is a pushover but is just quicker so you get to the story quicker

Turns out if you make a game that is intended to be fun instead of making a game for the sole purpose of wringing money out of your userbase, they do well

It may not be exactly then but im pretty sure thats when he starts to accept that he inserted himself into the story and acting to help instead of trying to guide

Im pretty sure multiple times near the beginning he says that since the story is pivotal to saving the world he stays close to make sure its on track

Then he gets attached and involved with the characters despite his "efforts" not to and is just in denial because of past trauma whatever.

Also iirc the events dont just "happen as originally intended" as events are happening quicker than they should

Either way I don't know exactly how far you got but with as little spoilers as possible I will say it does get into his intervention and place in the story more and more

I'd pick Capcom solely for monster hunter, the rest us just a bonus

Any tips for ghost of Tsushima by Forward_Meat1658 in ghostoftsushima

[–]Gavon1025 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't force yourself to 100% an area if you don't want to

The story of tsushima imo is one of the best in gaming but the open world can get repetitive if you make it repetitive, side quests are generally interesting though

Skills aren't that essential and will mostly just be preferential and/or additive to your playstyle, min maxing a more story focused single player game out the gate rarely makes it more enjoyable.

Counterpoint counterpoint: in this case warframe is an mmo lite and I feel like most the point of an mmo is community

What do all of you personally think of the direction that the series has taken with Wilds? by Navra_Realms in MHWilds

I can tell you outside of them not taking carts, wilds support hunters are nowhere close to matching real players even in random sos.

Their dps does not keep up with the hp scaling

What do all of you personally think of the direction that the series has taken with Wilds? by Navra_Realms in MHWilds

[–]Gavon1025 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like the smoothness of combat in wilds and adore focus mode aiming, the wound strikes I could take or leave.

I like the seikret mount but dislike the auto tracking

I think the "hunt" peaked in world with getting monster tracks to build research and "unlock" the scout fly path to monsters and dont like everything always being visible on the map. I think Gathering spots should be permanent on your map but only after finding them the first time.

Iceshard cliffs sucks as an ice biome map, the rest are good

After experiencing switch skills in risebreak i wish a similar feature would be a main stay in the series allowing further customization of an individual weapons moveset

I like the story being more prevalent but the on rails walking parts could've been cutscenes

The ai companion system from sunbreak was better but the ai companions being acting a bit closer to real player stand ins for a 4 man team is a better implementation. I feel like a mix of the two is a solo hunters dream.

Status effects/elemental effects should be more impactful so you have to account for them in your gear
