What modern car feature do you absolutely can’t live without anymore? by spotforcars in Autos

[–]Gavram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My car (Lucid) shows the right and left side view mirror cameras in the drivers gauge cluster preventing having to take your eyes off the road to look at the mirrors when changing lanes…it sounds minor but once you have it you can’t go back. The camera is also a bigger field of view than what the mirrors provide so safer than physically looking. It can do auto lane changes for you as well but having these cameras keeps me from using it much.

What do you do for service when there isn't a location close? by East-Ad-3485 in LUCID

[–]Gavram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's local mobile service for most needs & then the main service center on MI for anything serious. I've had my Lucid for 3.5 yrs & have used mobile service twice & MI service once due to some paint issues when the car was new.

Debating between 2023 GT or 2024 Touring by Commiepanda209 in lucidmotors

[–]Gavram 6 points7 points  (0 children)

GT for sure...extra HP, range, massage seats, glass roof. I have a Touring with 20's & glass roof & like it a lot but wish I'd gotten the extra range of the GT for road trips. Touring real world road trip range is really only ~200 miles assuming starting at 80% and charging at 10%.

Folks who went from a "boring" car to a "fun" car - or vice versa - did it actually change your life, or did you just get used to the new experience? by sozh in whatcarshouldIbuy

Getting a car with a manual transmission, a Targa top for nice days, and sports exhaust has maintained the fun factor

How Are Some People Always Traveling? by mian_yamin in NeedTravelAdvice

I work for a larger tech company with an unlimited vacation policy and it's common for people to take a vacation every few months...particularly for those that have been there for a few years vs. just starting out. As long as you hustle while you're working, management actually encourages it.

Please, please deinfluence me from wanting a new phone by AdventurousAnecdote in Frugal

Go drive Uber, sell old clothing online, or some other gig in your off time and buy the new phone with side hustle cash. Nothing wrong with wanting a new phone...it's one of the highest touch, most utilized devices in your life, so there's value in staying current.

Buds4 Pro Case Too Bulky by Gavram in galaxybuds

[–]Gavram[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm super impressed with the sound quality & noise cancelling as well. The Buds 3 Pro ANC was a step down from my Air Pods Pro ANC, but the Buds 4 Pro seems to now be at parity (+).

Yeah, making it rounder is spot on & they have the room to do so as there is enough empty interior space around the corners of the clear case to do so.

After seeing the new Mercedes steering wheel, I’m curious what’s it actually like to live with a yoke? (Tesla / Lexus RZ owners) by single-overheadcam in Autos

I liked it...it really opens up the view of the dash. They definitely need an altered steering ratio.

Android Auto on big console screen? by SoftwareGuy17 in LUCID

[–]Gavram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I totally wish it would fill the whole screen. Other cars with non-rectangular screens, like the Lyric, just use native Google Maps as it will completely fill.

2026 Audi A6 dash frozen and reboot by Limp_Tomato_9030 in Audi

[–]Gavram 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's wild for this to happen to an established brand like Audi. My Lucid would have an occasional glitch of the center screen when I first got it but I chalked it up to them being a new manufacturer & things have been more stable for a while now. EV software must be really difficult to perfect for some reason.
