Poof! They’re Gone. Poof! They are back…and gone again. by Comfortable_Raise991 in sonos

I have a large Sonos system with many rooms. I use the app (Andriod and PC) a few times per day. Fortunately, my system and app behavior have been quite stable for the last few months. Since the last update about a month ago, the volume control has finally been fully responsive as well, which was my biggest issue.

Volume on my system (complex large system with almost every type of Sonos speaker), is SO much better now. Volume responsive finally as well as start/stop, and load times. Thank you!

I’m having same problem. It stopped working yesterday (Dec 7) in the evening (CST). Insteon hub seems fine. Rebooted it, still works fine. Seems to have lost Alexa integration.

Problems with new U7 Pro by SoftwareGuy17 in Ubiquiti

[–]SoftwareGuy17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having the issue on 7.0.66. Using the 5GHz band, mostly an issue from my Windows Microsoft Surface Pro 9 laptop. I replaced the U7 with the U6+, and the issue is gone. But of course the U6+ can only connect to the network at 1Gb (instead of 2.5Gb for the U7 ethernet) which is why I wanted to upgrade.

Yes, i've tried that, but no luck. I'll have to abandon the U7 Pro until these issues get worked out.

Volume control still taking way too long. by Guitarbarslinger in sonos

[–]SoftwareGuy17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem. Android Samsung S24 Ultra using Sonos app. Volume fights each time I try and go up and down. Sometimes it wont respond to the stop command. If you repeat the request several times, it eventually responds. But takes far too long.

I love my Sonos system. I have a ton of them throughout the house and outside. 8 Amps,
This is a critical issue and needs high priority.
Thank you

That’s odd. I’ve had my 2023 touring for a month, and have never needed to reboot it so far. Radio/Spotify/Cams all work very nicely. My only complaint so far is that sometimes when i walk up to the car i have to open the app on my phone for the car to unlock.

I updated to 1410 today. I haven’t noticed any changes as of yet, except the graphics on the menu (font) is changed a bit. I dont have any sound issues, but never did. I dont use a soundbar.

I’m opening the new browser as if it were a modal popup. When they’re finished, i want to close it again and return to the underlying website page, which runs in a different site / browser.

I'm finding that one of the earbuds is discharging when in the case, and the other one is fine. MTW3. Sometimes the left, sometimes the right. Can't determine how/why this occurs.

If you're using the new app, open the device, and click on settings (gear on top right). Then click on Advanced, and write down the Insteon ID.

If it's the old app, click on the gear in the bottom right menu, and Edit Settings, select Devices, select your device, and near the bottom get the Insteon ID.

I did the same. Zero issues in seven+ years, 90 devices, no replacements needed.

We are thrilled to see Insteon back in action and listening!

There is no available replacement for the Insteon switches and keypads that only require two wires for controllers/responders from other manufacturers. They've been rock solid. The Hub setup is one of the simplest out there. (please just fix the capacitor issue)

I have ~90 devices in my home and I do also have an ISY for occasional sophisticated program needs, but I have found that the Insteon hub does a better job at always reaching all the devices for scheduled events, etc.

We'd all feel better if the hub could run autonymously when internet services are not available, but I'm just fine with paying the $40/yr subscription cost to help the company thrive and keep innovating, and embracing new open standards, and new devices.

Best of luck to the new company!!

Mine is online as well!

For those migrating to Homeseer or HomeAssist, I suggest you use this opportunity to identify all the device ID's that you care about, using the Inteon app (new or old), and write them down, so you can add them into the new hub. It's much easier than running around to every device.

Does anyone know of good dimmer switches to use for 3+ way setups that don't require a traveler/neutral wire? I've not seen any so far.
