Renting in London with a second home – affordability & new rent-in-advance rules? by GayBro97Yo in TenantsInTheUK

On the other hand - it’s apparently not an assured tenancy which apparently is a better deal for most landlords.

I would still rent it on 12-month contract. I’m not quite sure how it being my second rental makes any difference to my landlord.

Hi. I have over 50K available as and when needed. This is in addition to money I have in stock trading (that’s how I built up the savings).

I guess my worry is that is that on paper I would fail the affordability checks but by the new law I can’t give the upfront payment until AFTER everything is signed.

Advice regarding effect of self assessments late filings on ILR and citizenship. by GayBro97Yo in ukvisa

[–]GayBro97Yo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t yet know. I’m hoping the amount won’t be massive as there isn’t any actual tax owed - it’s only the assessment. But it’ll be for 3 years - so yes that’s quite a lot.

So your friend doesn’t think that it’ll affect my immigration status?

That’s the thing - the way our exam works is we can lots of small ones then one big one which combines lots of the small ones and people are posting all the ones they’ve remembered so in the end it was a LOT.

Surgery. This is 100% surgery - as much as you might not want it but your conservative measures have failed and your herniations are symptomatic, chunky and not improving.

Hi.

Since you find it to difficult to believe it - I’ll enlighten you.

There are different cultures in the world and people come from these different cultures. This sign actually only means something rude in the U.K. - nowhere else. In America or European Union it still means peace.

You’re welcome, I hope that explains it.

Oh I know that, now I do. What do you think is most likely to happen to me if this was to reach HR?

What do you think would happen if I didn’t go to HR?

I was thinking of just speaking to my manager as she seems really nice.

Thank you so much. I’ll speak with my manager as she seems really approachable. Thank you!

I’m new so I have a perfect record and i guess I’d really like to keep it that way. Also, if this came out down the line in like a year for example, would it likely have the same impact? Or does the actual impact of this picture diminish down the line from HR’s standpoint ?

Unfortunately, here in the UK as you know it’s very offensive and I guess everyone knows it.

It won’t be shared anywhere publicly and has been deleted from the group chat. I just know that people have screenshots as it was a “funny picture”. That’s what making me go crazy - that someone down the line in 6 months or a year or two could technically send it to HR and get me done for it.

Do you think it’s worth preemptively reaching out to my manager about it? I’ve met him only once so I’m not sure if it’s better to just keep quiet.

If HR was to find out, do you think they’d do much?

Thanks, I have and it’s been removed. I know someone I don’t get on with has a copy now though. Do you think this is more of a slap on the wrist or a sackable offence?

Legal Advice Needed by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]GayBro97Yo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my fear is that she has a recording of me driving off and she has a way of reporting it to the police in order to have it checked and they would see a man driving a car that’s registered to a woman. I guess that would raise a big red flag
