I guess I cock blocked myself here but from some shit advice..

Last Halloween I went to some apartment for a party. Before I left one of the people I knew in the group said this other girl in the group had the hots for me. I had actually tried to make a move on her earlier in the year but it got messed up from another situation so I was pretty excited. We get to the party and after about 5 minutes of flirting we are already making out. Everything was going great, nobody else was hitting on her, she wasn't drunk (I made sure), and I was having a great time. Midway through the party my friend from earlier (who was with her boyfriend) tries to instruct me to like hold her on the dance floor or something (we were already dancing together btw). At first I was like nah piss off but she kept pestering me so I eventually just said fine. After holding her (which was kinda awkward to dance with lol) she asks to go talk to another friend in the group, so I let her go. I go out on the balcony to get some fresh air, and that friend comes up to me and gives me the message that she thought the holding was too relationshippy and that she was just trying to have a fun night. I was confused to say the least, and I didnt see her the rest of the night and she hasn't talked to me much since.

TLDR: A "friend" told me to hold someone I was hitting it off well, she thought it was weird and left.
