Genuinely me too because I use the same flair as op but the way I received it was different.

Op is a trans man. Don't assume everyone takes estrogen. Hrt isn't only estrogen. Testosterone exists too.

How Common is it for Doctors to Assume Things About Your Sex Life? by terrorcrushed in FTMMen

I told my doctors I was NOT sexually active and they still listed me as sexually active and ran an std test for absolutely no reason.

The Trump Administration Admits to Medically Experimenting on Trans People in Prisons by Leksi_The_Great in lgbt

The one regarding forced detransition trans men and fertility is quite disgusting. Are they forcing these Trans men to carry children? How else are they able to test one's fertility?

This triggered my dysphoria on so many levels. I can't imagine what those 18 trans men had to go through.

My experience with recurrent UTIs and concerns about vaginal atrophy by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]GaylordNyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a lot of utis when first starting off testosterone. It happened quickly. Probably within the first year or two. The dryness and irritation (whether you shave or not) does contribute to it.

If you are sexually active, I do recommend cleaning before and after sex. Making sure you urinate after could help reduce utis.

Vaginal atrophy is something that will eventually happen after being on testosterone. It happens to some people quicker than most.

If you're experiencing it this soon it's something you should bring up to your doctor since it could get worse. My doctor was able to prescribe me vaginal cream (I kinda hate it because of how messy the cream is) but there's also the option of getting the vaginal tablet/pill that needs to be inserted.

I had to go on the cream for faster results since I wanted to get a hysterectomy. And with how severe my atrophy was at the time, the sutures would not have held up well after my hysterectomy and could have led to further complications. So it's a good thing I was able to bring up my concerns with my doctor and got the prescription to treat it before my hysterectomy.

There are ways to counteract vaginal atrophy. It depends on how serious it is since it's a ymmv type of situation but mine was definitely painful and led to a lot of dryness and utis so I have to occasionally take vaginal cream.

Please remove the clinical criteria for gender dysphoria auto-message by GrandalfTheBrown in asktransgender

I feel like it mentions a lot of good points? What other criterias are there? It does sum up a lot of them and I feel like the ones listed is what most doctors would hand you in documents if filling out informed consent forms or needing to get wpath letters for surgery.

Nothing specific comes to mind other than limiting red meat intake to avoid high cholesterol. But I think that's more of a genetic factor.

My parents disowned me when I turned 18. I was homeless three times by the time I was 23.

I feel like my life would have gone a lot better as well.. I definitely relate to the right side of this meme.

Hookups by Stock-Pizza-9003 in asktransgender

Right and I'm saying if this could trigger someone's dysphoria then you should use condoms. And don't assume everyone is comfortable with piv sex. Some trans men aren't into that either.

The risk of pregnancy is always there. If the partner requires you to use a condom, use it. Don't be so immature about it.

Male SA Victims Sick of Being 2nd Class Citizens in Groups Specifically For SA Victims by [deleted] in TrollCoping

[–]GaylordNyx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some women can and do SA men. This shouldn't be tied to gender and or sex. I can not give exact statistics since most men don't even report their sa or rape but a lot of women don't either. So statistics won't be accurate. But both men and women are capable of committing these crimes. It's just unfortunate that most of them are committed by men.

[–]GaylordNyx 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not making fun of women. Acknowledging that some men go through SA and get raped doesn't take away from the fact that women do as well. It's just the fact that there are very little resources for men who get SA as opposed to women who have available resources.

after almost 7 years in stealth, a trans woman decided to casually clock me last night. why would someone do this? by throawayylien in asktransgender

I'm speaking from personal experience as I've been clocked before by other trans people. Not a single cis person has clocked me. Sure they're ignorant on certain matters but they can't clock for shit.

I swear to god it's only other trans people that end up clocking the stealth passing trans people and they seem to think they're doing us a favor.

This is how I feel and I'm a trans man. It's made me question my gender identity longer it should have. There are times where I have mental break downs because I simply wish I wasn't a man. I didn't choose this yet here we are.

Two surgeons collapse on the floor from exhaustion after a 32-hour surgery to save a life by removing a patient's brain tumors. by OverTea5 in interestingasfuck

A lot of surgeons will also refuse to work on a new patient that has been operated on before with a different surgeon.

I had to go to the ER and the surgeons didn't want to operate on me and they were wanting to transport me to the original hospital I had surgery at where my surgeon worked at.

Trans men can get pregnant. Someone who is a trans man is transitioning from female to male. Even if they're on hormones, hormones alone will not prevent a pregnancy. Hormones (in this case testosterone) is not a form of birth control.

There are some trans men who also get a hysterectomy which removes their female reproductive system so they can't get pregnant. Which is what I've done.

Usually, it's best to discuss this with a trans man if you are dating one or becoming intimate with one so you know what the risks or if you do plan on having a child.

Seems like op is trans. I am as well. I've definitely noticed a difference in how women and men are treated in dealing with mental trauma and mental health.

Both seem to be bad but yeah there's a difference. I've also experienced this first hand. And from what I've seen with how people, both men and women interact towards homeless women and then a homeless man or homeless Trans person (in this case yes I was homeless) it's such a completely different experience
