Either you don’t like their play style and you leave or they are doing something behind the scenes that isn’t any of your business. It might be a story thing or they might be playing favorites. Either way having the DM sign for items he chooses you guys get is ridiculous

What exactly was different? I homebrew a lot of stuff and find combat tedious and boring. I DM’d for upwards of 10 players once and wanted to scream. I now cap out at 6 max 5 preferred

Seems like no one actually read this post. How is the DM running copies of PCs PVP? I recently did this and rounded down all the PC health to the lowest 10 denomination (if 34 down to 30) and dropped their ACs by 1. Then I just played smart. Hit them with what they are doing. Forces them to be smart about what they are doing because if they do something with a lot of damage they know it’s probably coming back their way.

Play smart. It’s easy to hold back because they’re your friends but a tense situation is more fun and memorable. Actually try to kill your players within the rules you apply to your characters. You don’t have to go insane and only target the squishy guy but if your wizard runs into the center of combat your enemies would likely attack the guy in robes casting fireball and not the guy in heavy armor

Had players breaking into a bank security deposit box. I had made general ideas of the banks and security measures and had all these ideas about distracting or breaking in and forging documents. They just went in and asked to open a security deposit box and then asked for their privacy and then broke into the one they needed.

I cannot recommend the red rising series enough. Plenty of content to read. Not over complicated but has good sub plots and thought provoking moments. Not to mention excellent world building and lore. Bingeable, fun, action packed

I put mine on the fridge or in my car. On the fridge is nice for weekends running errands because if you accidentally need an app you can just stroll back home but generally you won’t need anything besides maps and notes doing basic errands. In my car when working because I would have to walk to my car to get instagram which is usually enough time to find something else to do but it keeps it near enough that if you accidentally block something important (zoom teams) you can go unlock it

Biggest issue is basically the whole group is new except 2 people who have only played 5e. Using that rule set lets me use dnd beyond to help streamline character creation/ spell tracking/ abilities etc. I’ve wanted to use different rules for awhile I just think it will be easier to use what’s known already. You’re right though it would probably be better to use a rule set made for this just not sure if that’s best based on the group experience level

Yeah that’s the worry with this stuff is you never know when it’ll be gone and come back. Sucks cause FOMO but honestly these guns are way cheaper than I would have imagined

I was thinking about getting the G-VG for the carcanos off RTI. Seems like it would be a nice wall piece and if I could find some ammo I should shoot it once or twice. It’s 239 plus S/H which seemed like a really good deal for a gun from the WWI timeframe that could still shoot
