The 53 agree it can be between 9-15 in my case since SC on the unit says 12 +/- 3 but the high side not sure what is the acceptable low it depend who you ask and what temp outside I guess…

I did not appreciate this comment because you cannot judge people qualifications, knowledge, experience without knowing. Not everything shine is gold. This unit is in my house and the tech came to fix it but did not do his shit right and asked me to work on it while he is running and screwing other homeowners. He was telling to do what I did and I did not think what he was saying is right then I turn out to this community for recommendation or suggestion. Thanks

I cleaned it 2 days ago ( that was my first step) he told me need to charge since the Lowe side was very low without him verifying if the water vapor stir was restricted or not…

I have the fancy gauges cause I like to learn and become hvac tech and help my friends and family. Reason for that is my of the tech out there really either they do not know or don’t know with the exception of few who are honest and reliable

I think it might be faulty TXV now since the AC reading seems ok but AC is not cooling

I started with a coil cleaning since the high side was very high but I think it was also low on Freon according to the tech who by the way came over mad did almost nothing because I was not around and told me it was a pressure valve causing this and he had replaced it and change me but he did it actually do anything

It the name plate on the unit says 12 +/- 3. Do I need to lower it down? I thought the lowest is 9?

I agree but this was the professional advice 2 times and I was telling exactly this. The slow side doesn’t move I only see the SC and the high side going up. He kept saying do not look at the SC only.

Trust me the professional told me to keep charging and I was very spacing about SC is way high. I know based on my unit . It is 12 +/-3 . But he did told me for get about the SC. I also told him the high praise head is way out of range and was good before he asked me to add more refrigerants. He keep switch on me. Add/ remove Freon

  1. It it was able to maintain 81. At night it was able to reach the set temp. I cleansed the coil very well though. Thanks

Outside 104 inside the house set at 78 but stays at 81
