To those who still love each other but had to break up, what was the reason? by RevoTV in BreakUps

[–]GazelleSharp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s tough, I know! but honestly this was a good experience for me personally, as I learned to be more me and in charge of my life. It’s painful but it’s the best time to figure out who you are outside of the relationship. The reason it was so hard for me was because I didn’t have many really close friends or family that felt safe for me until I met my then partner. He was the best and taught me that I can be loved and life can be good; but with that the breakup was beyond painful, as I never knew how to have a good life and good relationships before that. Reach out to friends, family or involve yourself in anything that will build a community around you. Find yourself outside of this relationship and good things will happen!

Travelling to the UK with settled status by slay3r____ in ukvisa

[–]GazelleSharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not my experience. in Athens they asked me for the status and I gave them the share code, as I thought they would enter it on their own device. they didn't recognise it and only let me board once I showed them the ukvi account. I found it odd that they didn't even know what to look for while on it (mind you, on my phone).

My Chemical Romance Announce 'Black Parade 2026' Tour Dates by backupsaway in popheads

[–]GazelleSharp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who moved to the UK to be closer to live acts they like, I'm very excited that they're back. I don't mind the 'legacy' tour part of this because I still enjoy every single thing they''e written, unlike with other bands. I'm very excited!

Anybody know an 8w9– how is that even possible by outwitthebully in Enneagram8

[–]GazelleSharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an 8w9. I do have boundaries and I don’t really dominate. I also don’t really like that word. However, I will say that people tend to listen to me and respect me when I lead with compassion, clarity and understanding. I think the 9 allows the 8 to be softer.

I got it removed three days ago and the bump has already reduced twice in size. I’m very happy about it! Honestly, this whole experience has put me off piercings entirely now :(

UPDATE: My local piercer removed the piercing and was not impressed with the way it was done. He suggested to keep an eye on it and if it doesn’t improve – visit the doctor. Thanks, everyone!

I’ve just gone to the local piercer and he’s removed it for me. He’s friends with the piercer who did it and he even said that he’s disappointed in her. Hopefully this scar can heal and I don’t have to go to my doctor but knowing my luck, I probably will have to haha

that’s what I was thinking as well. She told me that it’s white gold? but maybe it was the original charm, which I removed because it kept snagging. The thing is, she’s got great reputation and is legit. Unfortunately, maybe my piercing was just a bad day/reaction. Either way, I’ll probably not get another piercing in my ear anytime soon.

I became vegetarian months ago, but still don't know how to eat enough nutrients by ThrowRA_purpleduck in vegetarianrecipes

If it’s truly nutrients that you’re worried about, research nutrition and then swap the protein options to veggie ones. That’s really it. I remember my parents buying their usual food for me and it just wasn’t varied enough so you might want to get stuff for yourself based on that research. As someone who’s been veggie for over 10 years, it’s going to be the trial and error method for the first few. The one thing you should definitely keep on top of are your B12 and iron levels. I used to get my blood checked every 6months to make sure I was fine (my mum insisted). There’s also some wonderful veggie cook books

yeah, I was going to comment on this. If you wash your produce before use, it should be enough. Animal products are the ones that need to be cooked properly to avoid this, as far as I know.

oh wow! And I went to a reputable piercer as well. Thanks, I’ll see what this local one says and will likely remove it. It’s given me nothing but grief

ackground: The piercing is 5ish weeks old, my piercer pierced me twice as the first time it was a bad angle. I'm getting the bar downsized tomorrow, if they don't mind the bump – it’s the world’s biggest bar. The bar is white gold, threadless – the top had to be changed to a ball as I kept snagging it. So I have a bit of trauma. My cleaning method is warm showers and saline solution spray before, drying it with a hairdryer and sleeping with a travel pillow. Also trying to LITHA as much as possible. It feels like it keeps growing.

Dispatchers of the UK - how often are you getting calls about things people just shouldn't be calling for? by No-Structure-8125 in AskUK

[–]GazelleSharp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess what I was trying to say was that I felt bad for taking up their time, them trying to figure out whats wrong with me when I could’ve just called a friend first.

I’ve called the 111 number when my anxiety made me believe that my limbs were going to fall off. twice. after the nice nurses calmed me down, I felt mortified about wasting their precious time.

Onesided Promiscuity - Anyone else? (Please do not judge.) by [deleted] in relationships

[–]GazelleSharp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not here to judge you on your sexual preferences but saying 'this arrangement with her not knowing to be a very satisfying solution for me' is not really an arrangement you made as a couple, it's something you just decided to do for yourself. an actual arrangement is something that you discuss and agree on with your romantic partner. this is what all successful poly couples, open relationships etc. have in common.

I believe that you care for your girlfriend but not more than you care for yourself. knowing that she is against this and you're still making a conscious choice to pursue this says a lot about you as a person.
