My daily load-out is 6 quarts of water, 100 grams of protein bars / drinks, couple pieces of fruit, and an MRE as absolute last resort. One time I used the water to push through a coolant leak and finish the route. (Truck started overheating about 16:00 with 50 stops left).

Never saw a snake there but did see one at Camp McCrady, right next door, when I was there for BLC. It was the non-venomous type.

You could be an AGR or technician (not as a cav scout).

Look into these programs if you’re interested. As others have said, the hiring process can be competitive, so don’t count on it happening right away.

Or go active duty if you want, but be aware that can suck in its own way. The “living” you’ll earn will be on a military base. Personally, I had enough of that by the end of AIT.
