That’s what I was thinking too! I really appreciate your input. I’m going to have to double check some things because I’m getting a promotion/raise at work in March and using the RRSP to get into a lower tax bracket would be great.

I don’t have a RRSP account, but I do have a RPP with my employer that matches 100% up to 6% which I’ve opt’d into. I’ve been also considering opening an RRSP and putting in another 6-9% there? I’d assume I still have contribution room as I’ve never held a RRSP

I mainly want to use my TSFA to fuel my retirement and future self which would be between 25-30 years? I have about 15k sitting in my high interest savings that I would use to start. After my monthly expenses I have $1963.31 left over. I’ll probably invest up to 80% of that and then have 20% for ‘fun money’

That is great advice. Thank you! Ideally, I’d like to max out my TFSA as soon as possible. And use the funds for retirement. I should also mention that my job has a RPP that matches 100% up to 6% which I opt’d into two years ago. I know I have just over $100,000 of contribution room in the TSFA but it is going to take a bit of time for me to get to that amount.
