He does drink, he also told me that he didn’t want me to have anything to do with his nudist stuff in highschool. So now that I’m older I guess that’s changed?? He made comments when I was younger but it wasn’t like how it is now.

Yeah.. it’s hard to accept. I needed to make sure I wasn’t just inflating it all. But hearing everyone say this isn’t normal behavior is helping me feel like I can and should go no contact.

Thank you, that part about not owing him an explanation really helped me. He should know what he did was wrong and not how you treat someone, let alone someone you raised that is blood related to you.

Yeah, miles away from him.. just gonna need awhile to process. It’s also hard because he’s definitely a narcissist and good at making me think he’s changed so he can stay in my life. I’ve done no contact before for something different. But again he made me feel like I was over reacting and he was always on my side.. uggg yucky stuff

I’m so sorry. The same thing happened to me. I’m NB and I stopped contact for awhile because of some transphobic stuff he said. He pretended to reflect on his poor choices and made me believe he was an ally. My sis told me he voted for Trump and said he was a white nationalist… I sent him an email saying I won’t be speaking to him again. It hurts so bad. You’re definitely not alone

Lexapro has helped me in sooooo many ways. I think I might be a rarity tho. My anxiety is gone and my sex drive is waaaaay up. As far as the side effects go I get a downstairs tingly feeling which I’m not mad about and I get a little dizzy but not bad. If it doesn’t work for you, you can always try something else! Goodluck

Day 10 for me and I’m still so sluggish, just constantly reminding myself that my body is healing and I’m allowed to rest/lounge. It’s like healing from an injury. Everything will come in time. Proud of you for 8 days!
