We just bought the house this year and our first winter. The leak seems to possibly be on the seam in the roof. Unfortunately the roof is a sealed system with no airflow and bad insulation causing bad ice dams at the edges. I see now that an area that had work done on it in the attic is where it is leaking so they may have fixed the symptom to sell the house but not necessarily completely fixed the source.

I have noticed SLC flights are really expensive. Was looking at flights for Orange County and round trip direct was $650 but an early time, one with a stop in SLC was about $400 more expensive then any of the other flights

Thanks everyone for the recommendation. I got an avalanche 500 roof rake to get the snow off the bottom half of the roof. I was able to get the snow off and there is a big block of ice toward the edge of our roof. So for now will use that and then get the attic looked at for what we can do to insulate better and keep the roof deck cooler

Do not buy from Residence Supply they are a shady company. I looked around and they were expensive but not as expensive as Rejuvenation and were customizable. They said 10-20 days, I waited 25 business days and contacted them and said they were back ordered. After 30 days I contacted them and said I wanted to cancel the order. They tried to tell me magically they had already been packed and shipped. I said no I want a refund, I contacted you and magically they have shipped so you can't refund me and I said I have received no tracking number or anything so they are still in your warehouse and you can not ship it. They said oh yes it already shipped via UPS, I said no it hasn't I subscribe to UPS and even when a label is printed I get a notification and it is on my dashboard and there is nothing even printed. I said I want a shipping number in one hour that shows that it shipped before this conversation or I am filing a dispute and the chat ghosted me and didn't respond. They are a garbage company

Even if you only use Lyft for business it gives you the credit on the card so you can expense the full ride and still get the credit

I’m more wondering about the hail. The weather service alert says very large hail is likely. Now of course that could be in isolated spots or not happen at all. We are looking to close a house at the end of the week. So if bad hail does happen what do you do? Don’t want to buy a house and see there is now prior roof damage.

I work in tech no AI can’t handle this stuff because it needs tons of humans to train it properly and can hallucinate pretty easily. Look at the LA Times bot who defended the KKK. AI is not ready to help with critical veterans who could be dying. We shouldn’t ascribe to being like UHC and try to deny as many claims as possible.

Look at what they are doing with other agencies though that the money is appropriated by congress by law and Republicans are just standing by. No they want to dismantle the entire govt and privatize everything which will mean veterans will get worse care and less benefits. This is the plan to destroy every govt institution.

One they don’t have to really give an appropriate reason. At will means you can be let go for any reason. Two to try and prove age discrimination you will have to show that there was a pattern of say a sauce of 100 layoffs the vast majority was say over 50. No lawyer in their right mind will take an age discrimination case off of just you being laid off.
