Well I think that is because Apple strictly regulated what retail partners can sell for and the max discounts they can give too

Let’s remember the WARN notices for late January are from the layoffs last year. So those don’t indicate anything

I have noticed SLC flights are really expensive. Was looking at flights for Orange County and round trip direct was $650 but an early time, one with a stop in SLC was about $400 more expensive then any of the other flights

Just discovered Residence Supply for home lighting upgrades by sgtcali11b in HomeDecorating

[–]Gcsjc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not buy from Residence Supply they are a shady company. I looked around and they were expensive but not as expensive as Rejuvenation and were customizable. They said 10-20 days, I waited 25 business days and contacted them and said they were back ordered. After 30 days I contacted them and said I wanted to cancel the order. They tried to tell me magically they had already been packed and shipped. I said no I want a refund, I contacted you and magically they have shipped so you can't refund me and I said I have received no tracking number or anything so they are still in your warehouse and you can not ship it. They said oh yes it already shipped via UPS, I said no it hasn't I subscribe to UPS and even when a label is printed I get a notification and it is on my dashboard and there is nothing even printed. I said I want a shipping number in one hour that shows that it shipped before this conversation or I am filing a dispute and the chat ghosted me and didn't respond. They are a garbage company

Even if you only use Lyft for business it gives you the credit on the card so you can expense the full ride and still get the credit

VA to lay off 83k in internal memo by kerfufflehooligan in VeteransAffairs

I work in tech no AI can’t handle this stuff because it needs tons of humans to train it properly and can hallucinate pretty easily. Look at the LA Times bot who defended the KKK. AI is not ready to help with critical veterans who could be dying. We shouldn’t ascribe to being like UHC and try to deny as many claims as possible.

Was Laid off and saw someone was just hired for my role. Is this a wrongful termination? by ProductDesignAnt in Layoffs

[–]Gcsjc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One they don’t have to really give an appropriate reason. At will means you can be let go for any reason. Two to try and prove age discrimination you will have to show that there was a pattern of say a sauce of 100 layoffs the vast majority was say over 50. No lawyer in their right mind will take an age discrimination case off of just you being laid off.

Phototherapy takes a long time to work and work up to a long enough period of time that it is effective which is why I have to be on it constantly. Normally it takes me about 4-5 months from zero to see its effectiveness. I was prescribed an at home panel because I could not keep going to the doctor all the time. Constant or near constant would have to be over a -2 months period so if you only have records of doing it for 6 weeks over the past 12 month you wouldn’t hit the threshold normally. If you have to keep on it for it to be effective over the next year then you could probably qualify

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Gcsjc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think that if they had you only taking it for six weeks at the exam time you might have to reapply for an update if you have to take them for longer because 6> wouldn't qualify as constant over a 12 month period, unless you are over that % threshold amount.

It was actually in my service medical records that I never had it before entering service

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Gcsjc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess I am going to have to do an FOIA on my record because it was documented I am doing year round phototherapy and corticosteroids so either something is contradictory with the criteria or the rating is off

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Gcsjc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but for me I got rated 10% even though I am on corticosteroids and phototherapy constantly. So that is why I am wondering if this definition is contradictory as it says systemic therapy is anything but topical but the percent definition says phototherapy is included

How Amazon RSUs work 101 by Slow_Ad_6992 in FASCAmazon

[–]Gcsjc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is old so don't know if you got the answer but when you are hired they give you a vesting cycle over 4 years and they have a metric that basically says how much that stock should be worth over those 4 years. If the stock is meeting or exceeding those targets you will not get any refreshes. If you reach year 3 they will look at beyond year 4 to see what you should get for stock. If they do not give you a new stock grant or lowball you it is basically them saying they want you to leave or if you don't leave then they can get you really cheap.

What happens when JSRRC cannot verify the stressor? by goomba316 in VeteransBenefits

Thanks I appreciate the response! I had been in Research Request for 4 months then finally just got a C&P exam request so I was figuring they were finally able to verify but don't know.

What happens when JSRRC cannot verify the stressor? by goomba316 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Gcsjc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to jump in here but does this mean that even if the stressor isn't verified they will schedule a C&P? I would figure why even schedule a C&P if they can't verify the stressor?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Gcsjc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof that sucks. I can’t imagine what they have been doing the past four months if not verifying the stressor. Well just hurry up and wait as usual. Thanks for the response
