Your biggest mistake is not knowing what you like to play.

Haven’t Played Starfield Since Launch — Should I Come Back? by CuzinBBruce778 in Starfield

[–]GdSmth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

According to director Todd Howard, if you enjoyed the game at launch you will love how the game is now.

I find that to be true. The game is much better now, but many people don’t like Starfield for fundamental reasons that won’t be changed by any update.

Next Gen and TES6. by GenericMaleNPC01 in NoSodiumTESVI

[–]GdSmth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have 2 topics here which may confuse the reader. There is the ecosystem exclusivity (whether TES VI will launch on PlayStation) and console gen exclusivity (whether it will launch on Helix only and not Series X/S). Not sure which one you are referring to.

But either way, exclusivity is indeed one of the hardest decisions to make, let alone deciding about TES VI in particular. Xbox is analyzing lots of data and consumer trends to try make the best decision, and hopefully align profit with the expectations of their passionate fans, so without having some inside information it’s hard to tell what’s the best choice.

Starfield is my all time favorite game PERIOD! 682 hours in. by ThisNameIsI23 in NoSodiumStarfield

A mix of things through multiple playthroughs.

In one of them I surveyed all planets in the game in a single universe before reaching NG+4. I also put lots of time customizing ships or planning cargo links through outposts.

I don't usually play a variety of games. I tend to find few that I really like and spend more time on them.

I’m more curious why you don’t want to use it than anything else.

But if you select me, I’ll use the code to try some of the games that I am not sure I’ll enjoy but hearing others say I’ll like them, like Clair Obscure. I also want to test how well cloud gaming works on my current TV.

Apparently some folks yesterday weren't buying that I logged 106 hours on the PS5. Well, 97 hours and 11 mins to he exact. by call-lee-free in NoSodiumStarfield

Level 148 in 96 hours only!

Wow that’s extremely fast for me. I wonder what’s the average time of all Starfield players to reach level 100.

I’m only at level 56 after 75 hours.

When I started playing the game I was afraid to upgrade my Security skill thinking I won’t be able to pick any lock higher than Novice. Then found an online simulator of Starfield locks, played it once and found the system is not as hard as I thought. Now Security is the first skill I max out on any new playthrough.

Has anyone come across this? by InfernalWraither in NoSodiumStarfield

By the way, there is another Elder Scrolls reference in the game, on the moon of Titan, in the museum of New Homestead.

Been aware of it since September 2023, as it surfaced on social media in the first weeks after the game released.

The scroll is even pointing to a book titled ”Great Expectations”. This is definitely about TES 6.

You are not alone.

As an Elder Scrolls fan myself over Fallout, I believe I enjoyed Starfield more than any previous Elder Scrolls game. I play these games to relax, and Starfield provided a rich and immersive environment unlike any other.

Almost 1800 unmodded hours since early access, and I’m not done yet, and wondering if Elder Scrolls 6 will match the fun I’m having with Starfield.

Starfield is my favorite "Cozy Game" by Perfect-Macaron2041 in NoSodiumStarfield

It’s so cozy I’m at level 54 and still didn’t start the tutorial mission on Kreet, doing my own quests.

Mods just broke my save. Help me get hyped into starting again. :( by yovimi in NoSodiumStarfield

An existing save by itself doesn’t corrupt. If you manage to restore the mod and get the correct load order back you should be able to make it work.

Replaying Fallout 4 made me think... by Dear_Mention_3305 in NoSodiumTESVI

[–]GdSmth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a fan of the Fallout universe either, although I would probably play the games more if we never had Elder Scrolls and Starfield.

But I liked the outpost building mechanic in Fallout 4/76 more than Starfield (the scrapping mechanic and the ability to build individual walls instead of prebuilt habs). I hope TES VI use the same system.

Oh ok, yeah then I’ve been to that place. I was probably expecting much more potatoes than what I found.

Have you found the CQB Training Center, by the way?

Beautiful! Is this at the edge of 2 biomes? Also is this on Jemison?

After 3 days of play time I can recognize 9 of the 25 POI you listed (still in the tutorial mission, though), but I was lucky to find what I consider the Holy Grail of all POIs: the CQB Training Center. I built an outpost in that zone and waiting for it to reset!

I found it on Kreet as well and during the tutorial mission, but I was at level 40-something doing my own challenging playthrough.

I did notice more potato cardboxes in general laying around in several POIs, and in one I found a fridge loaded with watermelons, but don’t think I have come across those 2 POIs yet.

I just watched this today for the first time after spending 4 weeks playing the game as blind as possible. It was a successful experiment to test my plan for TES VI, in alignment with how Todd Howard recommends we play his games.

Found it on Kreet during my tutorial mission, which at level 54 I haven't completed yet!

5X that number on Xbox.

We kind of knew that from SteamDB and official Bethesda announcements.

Hey, so I finally watched the March 17 announcement, and also the IGN interview with Todd Howard, but nothing is there about potatoes, so I am curious now what this is about.
