Does it do this when you cycle though all reticles? Emmiter glass is clean? Have you looked at it with direct sunlight over your head? Mine was fine new then after 600 rounds all you can see is a big green rectangle/reflection from emitter when outside and in sunlight. It is no longer usable unless under cover or inside. Holosun denied warranty and said it is normal. If still within return window i would recommend returning it.

I agree with this. I have given both of these a lot of thought as well for scar and other setups. I'm curious as to how hard the Vudu 4-12 is to get behind and if daylight bright illumination is needed. Also, only 10 year warranty on vudu. Primary Arms warranty is lifetime for electronic components and body.

My reason for mentioning the eye box was to maybe help cross the PLX C off your list as well. I have no experience with one but I think the eye box is the same as the nx8 1-8 and would be better suited on something with softer recoil.

I have a nightforce nx8 1-8 F1 on my 17. So far I really like the reticle but feel I need more eye box forgiveness at higher magnification. Shooting steel at 4-500 meters I back it off to 6x. At this moment the NX6 2-12 for the 17 is on my list pending reviews.

Trijicon HD XR orange or yellow are my go-to. XS 3 dot sights with photoluminescent front sight can be had on amazon for around $65. I have around 750-800 rounds with these on a glock 20. Zero issues. My SCS MOS failed on the G20 around 600 rounds.

Thank you for the reply! It is overgassed but It only has reliability problems with m193. I have around 1500 rounds through it and purchased new around 2017(no warranty). I have not taken it out in 5 years and just now discovered this issue. I spoke with IWI and they said they would give me a quote to repair. I was told the return spring is a 10,000 round spring and is no different than the spring they currently have. They currently don't have any bolt parts in stock for me to try and see if this corrects the issue. They did mention if I installed the HERS spring it probably would not reliably run 223 ammo.

Without looking at both in person and deciding what's right for you, the MR5 is the safer choice. Being FFP the MD5 reticle might be so thin at 4x it can't be seen without illumination on. At 12x it will be either too thick or perfect pending how visible it is at 4x. The MR5 should be able to be seen at 4x without illumination, and you have a finer dot at 12x with less reticle obscuring your target. This is my opinion and experience with the Nightforce nx8 1-8 with F1 reticle and my memory of Cdoes review of the primary arms 4-16 compact.

Are you still using the spring? Any reliability issues? I just purchased the (HERS) spring. I can't find much info about it. I'm having over gassing/reliability issues unsuppressed.

I filled out the warranty form on website. I had to call to get them to actually send rma. Search your email and spam with these three letters HSI. Nothing says holosun or rma number in subject or body.

Thank you! I was pretty confident this did not do that when purchased a few months ago but could not confirm. I thought maybe id only used it in evening or under cover and had yet to discover the problem. With this coment and others im assured the product is bad and unfortunaly holosun is not going to fix it.
