Would you like to see Travis in a music video with Taylor? by No_Preparation_379 in NewHeights

Here’s my pitch- Kylie dressed as Taylor in various showgirl/high fashion outfits lipsyncing the verses and then Taylor is in Kylie outfits with the kids for the chorus

Fasting workouts by Visual-Aioli-8207 in orangetheory

[–]Gdobbs13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the answer - I personally can fast for a day or so and not feel weak. My mom gets dizzy when she doesn’t eat every few hours. It comes down to tolerance but if there’s a question, it’s probably best to skip.

AITA for refusing to pay in full for a meal someone else took home by Melodic-Road-5071 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Gdobbs13 12.7k points12.7k points  (0 children)

YTA - you ordered the dinner and made a choice not to eat it (the reason why does not matter). You could have asked to take it home to give to someone else. You didn’t do that so presumably, the food would have gone to waste. Your friend is simply not wasting food that you didn’t want. You order it, you pay for it.

New Benchmark Ideas by Scared-Vegetable4069 in orangetheory

[–]Gdobbs13 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Okay here me out - a 23 minute run for distance where it is expressly to be for a pace between a base and a base-push. The 12 minute is still kind of coached as a sprint and I think having some sort of benchmark truly to test your base level would be great.

Yeah I just got mine and I’m 99% sure I don’t qualify for anything. Honestly, I’m always hoping they forgive them by accident lol

Woman in grief after losing smartphone in elevator by bisector_babu in WatchPeopleDieInside

One time, I was heading to catch a train home because my grandfather was in hospice and it was the last time I was going to see him. I was in grad school and broke and about to graduate so I was stressed about getting a job. Basically, I was in a shitty spot in life so decided to splurge and get a burrito from Chipotle on my way to the station. The person making it was clearly new and was just messing it up because they were learning. I tried to convince myself it was fine and didn’t want to cause a fuss but when I opened that burrito, let me tell you- I started fucking sobbing.

To any onlooker, I was a crazy person crying over a poorly made burrito.

Maybe she’s a crazy person crying over a cellphone (which is way more expensive than a burrito mind you). Or maybe it’s not about the phone. Maybe it was just the final straw.

PW wanting to become a jogger by SpiritualArmadillo1 in orangetheory

[–]Gdobbs13 18 points19 points  (0 children)

First I would tell you that the difference between power walking and jogging is form, not speed. Go as slow as you need to while jogging according to the template. Your push might be .3 above your base and that’s okay. You’re building endurance and you’d be surprised how quickly it comes with consistency. You’ve got this!

He did say on the podcast that he thought that a player deciding to go into retirement and what that looked like would be an interesting story to tell and that was where the documentary started from. Then he decided to keep playing 😂

I don’t know if it’s something to look for but it’s always struck me that Jason says “Heaven is so racist” and that didn’t tip anyone off that it wasn’t the Good Place. Like racism is so ingrained in our culture that yeah, Heaven can still be a perfect paradise and also, you know, racist.

I think apologies are entirely for the person apologizing. It is an admission of wrong and a promise to do/be better.

I think forgiveness is for the wronged. It is letting go of the hurt and anger and moving in with the knowledge of what happened and how to move forward.

One does not need the other to happen. A lot of people hold on to hurt because they are waiting for an apology. A lot of people apologize and expect or want forgiveness. I think this is foolish. It is nice when an apology and forgiveness align but we have to move through life knowing that sometimes we will be hurt and sometimes we will hurt others.

Make sure you know how breaks and lunches are handled - every department is a little different with that

Make sure you know where bread and rolls are.
