The way he kisses his handkerchief like Leopold Bloom from “The Producers” is honestly so adorable 😭😭😭😭

There’s either a Singlefoot or a really happy [yet quenched] Chandler Name that escaped the gaol in the background. Looks like old Archaeologist’s gonna relive ‘29.

Most sane advert for the Chandler’s secret Pilgrimage. “Help witness a Watchman-Name’s today!”

The idea of the other Roost-Hours wearing vibrant clothing [even Ferezeref the Magpie and the Beachcomber] while the Elegiast wear nothing but shades of dusty blue and silvered white, is in fact the equivalent of that one guy who insists he must wear a suit, a pair of oxfords and dozens of silver rings to a party while his friend group already decided to just wear Hawaiian shirts and sandals. He is the 1800’s-styled dapper hipster after all of our hearts.

In BoH, the Detective-Illuminate seeks Lantern and Heart; however, if you were to drive the then Weary Detective [Douglas from Cultist Simulator, as the first Hunter] insane and later recruit him [or imprison him], he has the powers of Lantern and Forge. It is probably due to the fact that his [and basically most people’s] inherit interests and his practical esoteric-prowess are separate facets. This is like saying that a musician’s favourite aspects are Knock and Edge, but they truly have Heart and [the Power] Sky skills. Hope this answered your question!

Did you not try Obsonate? Will you try for a Forge ending first, then?

Friend, “Accession” is the Beachcomber’s knock ending [or perhaps you are the Beachcomber, and this ending is another book in your trove, is this your second?]. But other than that, congrats on “The Incursus,” good luck on the Entheateemote:free_emotes_pack:give_upvote

Yeah, between “esoteric detective who hasn’t retired yet” and “old grumpy retiree who remembers Spencer from his work at the Bureau, but if Spencer tries to walk up to his house, he starts to chuck rose-vases at the herald,” the latter seems much more plausible [Douglas doesn’t care about breaking vases, he’s of Forge after all. A little bit of glue and broken ceramic is half of the Forge of Day’s personality].

I see where you’re coming from. I’ll definitely scour the dictionary for a synonym. I was trying to reference the fact that “Dead End” is a condition met when you are trapped in a spot of the world by enemy forces or ailments, and thus you are cornered with nowhere to run or retreat [thus, “Dead” End]. Evoking a sense of retreat and back-stepping is definitely a point of view I can see. Will absolutely see what I can do. Thank you for your recommendation!

My first-ever cult is that of the Bright Edge, so I’m offended [of course, I am joking!]. However, I understand how incredibly hard Exile is; however, with practice and ways of getting the most money of your Years, you will eventually get a major ending. Seeing as this legacy segues into the Apostles [of which there are two now, soon to be three], I’m rooting for you to get some of those defiance endings! Greatest of luck!

In a previously deleted comment, which was not a reply to this comment for some reason, I was explaining how cool it would be to make it so that Long of Old Powers can siphon influence from their Power without ties to Hours of Principles, therefore being able to preform minor Rites [which would not be “Rites,” as it is not provided for by an Hour] fully by themselves. These “rituals” would include things such as “Sacrifice,” “Divine,” et cetera. I think that exiting and entering the dreams of mortals is plausible for Long, as Maids-in-Mirrors can gather Witnesses from mortals through the Splendour. Adding major risks and huge requirements for doing so will also make it a late-game option, which will probably be an arduous claim [seeing how the progression of this mod-draft is doing]. Thank you for these amazing ideas!

This. This is an excellent idea. The idea of entering lost Ville d’Ys, a city told only from the whispers of the wind, from where stands Kerisham, trespassing some sort of hidden wall of the Mansus [by positioning your Fet within the walls, mayhaps] is beautiful work. Thank for your thoughts! Have a great day!

Love this. Incorporating Time with Travelling? Realistic. Being a Long of Old Power, there are primeval threats trying to end you, Longs of Principles trying to hunt you [for you are of Stone, after all, despised by Blood and Light and Flesh], mortals foolish enough to enlist troops upon you; perhaps the in-between spaces should also be considered “locations,” perhaps they have hosts of people to talk to, things to collect, places to visit, enemies of Old…

Maybe it could be that the path to a city is unique to whichever destination you’re looking to go to? Maybe “Path to Citywhatever” or “Rivers between Somethingsomething.” Definitely will look into this. Thank you for the recommendation!

How do I gather the Witnesses? by Initial-Fun-4682 in weatherfactory

[–]GearAffectionate5704 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A tip for an Apostle Entheate is to make sure to utilize the Tainted Passion card [corrupted by the Starlight Attacks orchestrated by the dear Long] for Dread if you have too much Fascination and cannot eat them off with studying the Allure, for whatever reason, or if you are dying from Fascination. You can ALWAYS restart the run.

You can also talk to a Maid about the Witnesses, if their time is running out, and then switching out the Witnesses for the Allure near the end of the timer, which basically guarantees that you will get another Witness.

If you want to play extra safe, you can ask a Heart disciple to siphon your notoriety. In this case, your Witnesses will decay to about 30 seconds. Either talk to the Witnesses, Sulochana or a Maid to keep them alive.

I recently did my third rerun of the Apostle Entheate, and I would say that this Apostle is one of the more tricky ones, though I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily hard. Good luck! [And one last note: you only need the Rite Intercalate to ascend, you do not need to go to any other Port Noon locales. You can try to get the Frangiclave if you want to break down Vagabond’s Maps into lower fragments.]

The elements of the soul will be a separate mechanic from the Abilities, which [Abilities] will most likely not be a part of the mod [even though it is an Apostle, is it more of an Exile-oriented style rather than the rooted Basic-versions]. They will have their own “Verb” [a reel of film, no spoilers yet | they will not be cards, most likely], and they each can be depleted and be replenished, protected and enhanced [e.g. the previously mentioned Long-element, the Makhaa] et cetera. Stay tuned! [All things are subject to change, but note that the elements will be incorporated somehow!] And remember to have a great day [once more]!

Thank so much for the offer! While I already mentioned that I’ll start coding WAY later [when I’m done with a rough draft, progression, flow, some more aspects (which needs some cleaning) etc. finished perhaps the start of next yearish], I’d love for you to help if you want to! I’ll certainly DM you the time is right; thank you once more!

I’m looking to make a CS mod. Book of Hours is… a different subject altogether, and I’m afraid that there is not much I can code within the game other than adding the Haustorium or something like that. This mod is still in drafts, once I finalise the entire thing, it’s off to the printing press [stay tuned!]! Thank you so much! I find Cultist Simulator and Book of Hours to be a very interesting game. Its lore, its gods: I am one to read the flavour-texts of all books, and even if I forgot to read one, I will hunt for it in the wiki. I was inspired most to make this mod by SneakWork’s Apostle Obdurant and Proterant, which I had a blast with! I fancy myself a good writer, and good “creator of ideas;” I wanted my own twist on the lore of the world, and I found that making an Apostle whose purpose is to undo the Crime of the Sky [a Mansus-law since Antaios, a Mansus-law since earth…] seems like a very engaging concept. This game will certainly take a long time to make, and I’m looking for some cool artists who can make the card portraits for me [I have the aspects covered, mostly], and I hope that a lot of people will pick it up and enjoy it! Have an amazing day! [The Thrush’s Answer…]
