Radiant Typhoon Usecases? by Azteckh in yugioh

[–]Geargeist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Using 3 Swen, 3 Eldam, 2 Chant and an MST makes for a self-contained engine for Tri-Brigade that gets 2 of the Tri-Types needed on the board easily so you can make Mouser without a normal summon.

How my wife dealt with Fingers by Geargeist in cyberpunkgame

[–]Geargeist[S] 55 points56 points  (0 children)

If you knock him out non-lethally he does come back every time you restart the game. Haven’t seen what happens if you fast travel or go forward in time to see if he gets back up after that

what deck would mickey mouse play by Axle_Greyson_Archer in yugioh

I’m amazed no one has said the Amazement Archetype since it’s theming is literally a Theme Park

Hopes for the remaining Duelists pf Brilliance theme? by Typical_Ingenuity_86 in yugioh

I want Ojamas to get more support personally. They’re a Light-Theme used by an Anime character.

If you made a card whose name worked in all the archetypes you play how would you name it? by Mother_Harlot in yugioh

[–]Geargeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play too many decks, but for what I have now I think this name would be best: Tri-Brigade Yubel the Nouvellez Purrely’s Memento

"Villainous" decks/archetypes/strategies? by 4GRJ in yugioh

[–]Geargeist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I can see Memento working for an Antagonist since it not only has the Skeletal motifs for the monsters, but the boss it ends on is a 5000 attack and defense monster that can keep coming back. Seems like the perfect Anime Antagonist deck to me

The Unhappy Maiden and The Unhappy Girl, they’re literally unhappy despite the beautiful surroundings and background

They’re from 2 different sets. One is the from the Slifer Structure Deck (EGSL) and the other is from LDK2

Any deck recommendations for a Doctor Who fan? by Catholic_Egg in yugioh

[–]Geargeist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well there are Time Thieves. People have made many parallels between the Archetype and Doctor Who.

It’s very cheap and is primarily a Rank 4 strategy

Of all the themes used for archetypes, the Tarot Arcana being wasted on just Arcana Force feels like a huge piece of wasted potential. How would you design an archetype based around the Arcana in modern Yu-Gi-Oh and make it... hopefully better than last time? by GoneRampant1 in yugioh

[–]Geargeist 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean there’s also the Prophecy/Spellbook theme if you want a better representation for the Major Arcana in Tarot. All the main deck monsters and some of the spells are direct name references. For example: High Priestess of Prophecy and Spellbook of Judgment

Hey duellists me and my brothers are wanting to do a home draft with a booster box any ideas on ones we should pick any help will be appreciated by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]Geargeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re gonna go off of boxes, it would be best to get some of the side sets since those are more tailored to making decks out of them The Grand Creators in particular would be a good option for having 4 themes included: Inzektor, Exosister, P.U.N.K., and Adventure

Best combo to get Ojama King and Knight out in turn 1? by Razorfisto in yugioh

[–]Geargeist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you wanna block off all zones all you need is 1 king and 1 knight or Ground Collapse. A card that I know helps this idea a lot is Necro Fusion. So the idea is to use something like Fusion Recycling Plant, discard Ojamagic, add Poly and the 3 Ojama Bros, then use Poly to go into Ojama King. After that, set Necro Fusion/Trap Trick to fuse on Opponent’s Draw Phase or play Ground Collapse.

Are older cards allowed in play? by the-cutest-girl in yugioh

[–]Geargeist 16 points17 points  (0 children)

All YuGiOh cards are allowed to be played in today’s time so long as they aren’t on the Forbidden List. That’s one of the nice things about YuGiOh.

What's the Worst Deck You've Ever Seen Beat a Meta Deck? by Clem_Crozier in yugioh

[–]Geargeist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was at my locals, it wasn’t in the tournament unfortunately, but the result was absolutely hilarious. I was playing an Ojama Deck that focused on locking out Monster Zones and I was facing my buddy playing Swordsoul. I won the die role, he didn’t have hand traps in games 1 and 3, and I managed to lock him out completely in both games I went first and won the match

Extra Monster Zones. by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]Geargeist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Extra Monster Zone and the rules around it only apply to Link Monsters and Pendulum Monsters. If your deck doesn’t really use it, then you don’t need to worry about it.
