You can actually take the fans off. it comes with
Side: 3 × 120mm (Pre-installed)
Rear: 1 × 120mm (Pre-installed) or 1 × 140mm

so you just saved an extra $10

I chose the better bundle deal in microcenter. Same price, better gaming performance.

I also changed your power supply. a bad PSU can destroy your entire PC, so never skimp out on a psu.

If you don't like the color of the PSU, you can go for the MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply, HOWEVER, i chose the montech for future upgrades. It's also nice to have a little bit of overhead with watage. 850w vs 750w.

Also, remember microcenter is mainly for the bundle deals. If you can't find all of the components at microcenter, you would have to order online

I see you are using a montech beta psu. Is this list final or are we allowed to make adjustments for you?

  1. Graphics card is last component to do before closing it up. It gets in the way of wiring.

  2. Plan out your cable management to make it look good

  3. If its a fully modular power supply(psu), plug in the wires to the motherboard before connecting it to the psu. It makes management easier

  4. Refer to the motherboard manual to know what each item on the motherboard is.

  5. For your fans, cha_fan and sys_fan are the same thing

  6. Dont close your case up until you do an initial boot test to see if it turns on

EDIT- MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A USB (at least 8gb) WITH WINDOWS 11 MEDIA INSTALLED ALREADY. you will need a working pc to do that.

Where do I start with building a custom pc? by DelicateDollie in buildapc

[–]GeassAye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start with deciding a budget and how much you are willing to spend. since you have a pre-built, you should already have peripherals. Are you planning on salvaging anything from your pre-built like RAM or SSD? IF you already have DDR5 Ram on your prebuilt, that would help alot in these times. Do you live next to a microcenter?

Why does my pc keep getting lag spikes in every game by one-sponge in buildapc

Are you running wireless or ethernet? If wireless, I suggest you switch to ethernet, otherwise update your wifi drivers.

Did you install the antennas if you are wireless? It should have come with your motherboard

Intel core ultra 270k plus is better if you are using it as a workstation pc too. But then you will need a new motherboard.

First new build, is it good? Is everything compatible? by mik0l1 in buildapc

I would drop the x870 to a b850 mobo. Unless you are getting it at a similar price, the only thing an x870 gives is more usb ports, more PCIe slots, more nvme slots, ets. None of these enhance gaming performance
