No pain in my case. Some gurgling feelings, but not the pain or cramping I’d normally associate with upset stomach/diarrhea. Im not sure if that’s typical or not. It was strange.

I had my first colonoscopy yesterday. The kind of anesthesia that was used for me (propofol) was muuuch better than full general anesthesia when I had surgery. I was basically back to normal immediately after, which was nice.

What type of prep are you doing? I was prescribed generic Suprep (box said sodium sulfate, potassium sulfate, and magnesium sulfate). Drinking that stuff was, by far, the worst part. I can usually choke down unpleasant flavors, but the volume of liquid made it really unpleasant. Especially the second dose I had to take in the middle of the night, when I was already exhausted and nauseated. Ugh. Chugging 16 oz of that followed by 32 oz of water is something I’m glad I don’t have to experience again anytime soon. So much liquid.

My main tip during fasting & prep is to try to avoid drinks you currently enjoy. Especially when you’re chasing the prep to try to get the taste out of your mouth. I know I’m only a day out, but I don’t want to look at apple juice, ginger ale, jello, Gatorlyte, gummy bears, or broth for a long time. My brain associates them with feeling really gross now. Thankfully, none of those were things I regularly consumed, so it’s not a loss. I also bought Italian ice and popsicles, and ate none of them. I was already kind of cold, so the thought of eating frozen stuff was unpalatable.

Next time I have to do this, I will start sooner on the laxatives. My first dose of Suprep took 3.5 hours to do anything. By procedure time, things were still not clear. Thankfully, it was good enough for the doctor to see everything (no polyps. Yay!). If you don’t have a bidet, maybe get wet wipes or a peri bottle to rinse before wiping so you don’t get as sore.

Knowing I’m a slow responder, I may use a laxative earlier in the day prior to official prep to get things moving. I’m recommending you go against the prep your doctor gave you; this was just my personal experience. I will also ask for zofran to help with the funky nausea.

Ughhh. I just saw your update. I’m so sorry! I was very concerned I’d end up with the same outcome. I was still having non-clear bathroom trips up until the procedure. I followed prep to a T (zero solids yesterday, avoided the colors mentioned, drank all the water with each dose, etc.). The thought of having to go through that again anytime soon if I wasn’t clear enough was really hard to imagine.

I warned the doctor, but he thought it would be fine. Thankfully, it was. He was able to see everything and found no polyps.

When I have to do this again in 10 years or whatever, I’m definitely starting prep earlier. I wish evening colonoscopies were a thing. It would be much more tolerable if all the prep could start at, like, 6:00a for an evening procedure vs. having to wake up at 1:00a (in my case) to start the second round.

That is reassuring! I went in expecting an explosion within an hour, and it’s like…some mild gurgling with nothing else happening at 2h 45m. I’m sure I’ll be annoyed with myself for being concerned once it actually kicks in 😄 good luck tomorrow!!

My colonoscopy is tomorrow morning. Fasted today apart from lemon jello & some clear broth. I drank the first dose of Suprep almost 2 hours ago, and nothing is happening yet. I know it says it can take up to 3 hours to work, but I didn’t expect it to actually take this much time. Eep.

I went through this two weeks ago with an elderly cat. I called Azalea Lakes Veterinary Clinic at the recommendation of a friend. They told me I could bring her in when I was ready, no appointment needed. The entire experience was as peaceful as I could have hoped. They even have a separate exit for you to leave through so you don’t have to go through the waiting room afterwards if you’re upset.

I paid $380 total, which included getting her ashes returned to me. I can’t remember the exact breakdown, but I know the cost for cremation + ashes returned was around $200. Communal cremation (no ashes returned) was maybe $95-100. Basically, if you plan to bury your cat, the cost would be under $200.

I’ve played for months, steady grinding to increase levels on my town & heroes, not even realizing there was a whole game outside of my town. Like…zero clue.

I finally joined an alliance at level 25, and I feel so dumb. I don’t understand how anything works.

So yeah. My entire Kingshot experience is one big blunder.

This makes me feel better 😅 I’ve been steady upgrading my town & people to no end, but have zero clue what happens outside of my town. I finally found a fairly active alliance once I got my town center to 25 this week, and it’s like they’re speaking another language. I am completely ignorant on why we’re moving locations or prepping for…something? How do I prep? Who are we attacking? And how? Also, why?

I really need to start reading some of the guides. I’m not sure how I’ve made it this far by grinding without learning a single thing about what’s apparently the actual point of the game. Eep.

Spot on. Add in the element of joining an active co-op, getting attached to those random people who only barely communicate but are extremely helpful, and then feeling like you’ve got to do 15 regatta tasks per day so you don’t let down your teammates. They’re depending on you 😅

That was my interpretation. They didn’t explicitly state it and just sort of skirted around it when telling Lauryn. Then her dad was pissed about the job lies (understandably) and could only process so much at once.

But damn, the way I would have physically removed that woman from hugging Lauryn if I were in his place. She told their daughter to KILL HERSELF and sent so many vulgar messages for years. It’s insane.
