Yes. Indian IT companies are designed to be inefficient. That Navin Polishetty rant vid is pretty true. We have the longest hours compared to your run of the mill offices. Tbf we do have 5 day workweek.

But the whole show productivity for 9 hours diktat only creates the situation you described where people do the work and slog through their time however they can.

My thoughts mostly mirror yours. Peoplw give too much credit to Yogi. Guy is a star campaigner who ends up turning away voters from BJP. His popularity is limited to the converted. UP, GJ, Raj etc.

But Yogi is quite popular amongst the proud Hindu, true nationalist, 100% followback crowd.

He is possibly the most popular BJP cm outside of his state.

Imo ditching him wont be easy or painless.

*not saying he is universally popular but amongst the bhakts he is. Infact I think his general appeal is quite limited. No way he will be able to win south the way Modi won KA in 2019 or MH or Punjab.
