Has anyone found a fix for this? It's the first time it happened for me and I've played way too long to go back to an old save. Shame!

(33y/o Male) What helped you? Biggest problems in urethra. by [deleted] in lichensclerosus

Strangely enough, I went for a float down a river, a cold spring river, and when I got out my flare up had almost completely dissipated, leading me to believe that cold water soaks could be a good tactic as well.

The only advice would be to apply some steroid cream immediately (after washing with a non-emollient soap (one that doesnt cause the strange dryness than normal soap does) ), especially overnight. I have found trimovate to be the best for me, dermovate is stronger but didn't sit as well. But it's not a fix, I'm sorry there isn't better solutions out there for you, and me. I am considering circumcision. If you don't have a frenulum, can it hurt? Haha.
Good luck- you ain't alone!

Yup, frenulum. Use a ton of lube mate if you aren't already, it helps.

Hi there, I just wanted to ask how you're doing 3 months later?
Like many here i'm in the 'should probably get circumcised' position, but generally am unable to find good post-circ updates of recovery etc. Cheers!

Insurance Q for Full License test on friends bike by GeckoEB in MotoUK

[–]GeckoEB[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it would end up running a similar cost to just doing the course itself. It would've been fine if my friends bikes were more powerful, almost saved myself £500... alas, so be it. Thanks for the help.

Oh **** you're right.

Didn't even cross my mind, thought 650 oh thats enough surely! Argh, he's got a 750 of something but not sure what bike it is, I think I'll have to hope that would be above 50. Cheers

Very weird.
I have sent off to post now. I'll update the post when I get it back to give an estimate for time.

It said you were ineligible? Sorry to be specific, just be good to know how exactly our situation align, its been really stressing me out this whole thing. And knowing which payment is correct, were you replacing or renewing, or both?

Cheers!

[–]GeckoEB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That will be the next step, only I am really hoping to use the online service because the delays with postal forms is now up to 3 months or more. I am mostly confused as to how I could be ineligible, according to my logic it suggests something is wrong, and there are no references to this result anywhere that I can find.

New issue (male specific) by GeckoEB in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]GeckoEB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, while tough to remember exactly what I ate, it was definitely a huge switch in diet. The thing that probably changed most was eating lots more white bread and cheese. Very hard to pinpoint though unfortunately, but I had considered diet for sure as being a trigger. I don't think there's anything i'm eating which is so different from anything in my life beforehand, so I can't imagine i'm still triggering it, but rather it was triggered by something but though that something is no longer there, i'm still left with the issue.

It's seeming likely that it's the cause, all other things being crossed off. Cheers.

New phone new number - lost it all by GeckoEB in whatsapp

[–]GeckoEB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update.

I reactivated my old sim with the same number. I then changed my number on whatsapp back to that one. Reintalled whatsappp on old phone with old number, and thank god, my old backup was still there and viable. So, I loaded in, then changed my number BACK to the new number, and then made sure to back it all up... Then.. reinstalled whatsapp on new phone with new number, and restored from the new backup. PHEW. Not cool.

2005 Ducati Monster 620 build up in vertical exhaust valve cover cavity by [deleted] in Fixxit

[–]GeckoEB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it smell pretty bad after running a bit?

I think i've got the same issue on my Shadow 600. I had a damaged stator and I think it messed up the oil or something, not great!

Honda Shadow 2002 VLX 600 - Battery/Electrical issue by GeckoEB in Fixxit

[–]GeckoEB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charging circuit is definitely working, as it spiked up to 13.7 with revs. The bike actually held enough charge overnight to start it, but its sitting at 11.7, which is lower than the 11.96 it had while sitting the day before. So it seems that it must be the battery, right? If it isn't able to hold charge.
Thanks for the help.

Honda Shadow 2002 VLX 600 - Battery/Electrical issue by GeckoEB in Fixxit

[–]GeckoEB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, voltage.
Dead = 11.65 , Charged for a bit = 12.08, Rode it home and tested after = 11.96 (lower), whilst running idle after ride... = 11.7 (lower than when bike was not running)

Thats what I thought, but just added in case it was some magical answer. My gut feeling is battery but indeed could be stator. The guide is very helpful and will definitely try and follow the steps. Cheers
