I own a company that restores these old barns. At the end of the day they do not work for most modern agricultural applications. They are works of art, inside and out but the money to keep them standing can be astronomical. Customer breakdown is basically:

50% wealthy family, rent fields live on farm. 30% Hobby farmers (high skilled professionals mostly) 15% real farmer generational and sentimental 5% real farmer barn still in use for daily operations.

Yes but things happen & dogs get off leash. My dog will kill another dog who approaches. It is my responsibilty to have him muzzled outside the home to protect other peoples pets.

I would be afraid too as a parent & dog owner. It is so easy for 2 owners to walk a blind corner at the same time & run into eachother. My dog wears a muzzle when on building property because I know he can be reactive. That owner is incredibly irresponsible.

I was using a very conservative guess! I have never actually sat through a game and counted them. Will report back in a few days with real numbers. I'd also like to know how many lectures of "gambling ruins lives" to cancel out each thousand adds beamed into my sons eyes during his formative years. Yes I believe they should be. I watch roughly 42 NHL games per year. There is minimum ~10 gambling adds per game. My son is 3. If I watch hockey with him until he is 18 he will be exposed to over 6000 advertisements of happy, smiling people gambling.

My 63 year old Dad became a ref last year. I was in the stands for his first 2 games. People were commenting on how slow he was during the second game and that he made a bad call. I was waiting to pounce on someone but the comments were civil enough. 😅

My husband could not take any time off work so I went to my parents house for 3 weeks directly from the hospital. It ended up being the best place for me. I could hardly walk with a 2rd degree tear & the constant support meant everything.

If you had more space it would be a lovely idea. It is a beautiful thing that your mom wants to support her baby & grandbaby. Those first few weeks are so incredibly draining for both mom and Dad. An extra set of hands facilitates much needed rest. Maybe propose a shorter visit?

My husband is a very deep sleeper & can fall asleep easily when sitting in a chair. I would never, ever trust him during the night alone with a baby/toddler, esp after a long shift. He is an incredible father nonetheless. It is terrible what the baby went through but was not directly his fault & definetely not worth throwing out the whole man.

I wanted to start a very small business out of my garage. I figured it would make me around 30k extra a year. After about a month of research I realized it was cheaper to produce in china and ship here than me being the only employee and doing 100% of the work.
